Love this dress a lot. So elegant. I will try to make it myself. Thank you for the tips i like them better in longer length. You look gorgeous in them as always.
Interesting variation. Makes me think I could use a canvas type fabric, too. The fabric store near me has such beautiful printed canvas fabrics, now I know how to use them for a dress 😊
Can I just ask a silly question? Should the bodice end at the natural waist or a little higher? Asking because on you the bodice ends at the higher waist (which for me is some 4-5 cm above my natural waist, where the store bought clothes have a waist as well). The dress I made has bodice end at the natural waist, but from how it looks on you I wonder if I should just shorten the length of the bodice, so it finishes at the higher waist. The dress is gorgeous and I have plans to make it in many fabrics, so I would like to make sure, I get the proper design right
Thanks for your question! It's up to taste but ideally the waist would end at your natural waist :) So if this is what your dress does in your case, that's ideal.
I am so here for the everyday nonchalant style! 😍Gorgeous dress!! Question, if you don't want gathering or pleats on the shoulder (broad shoulders). How do you change the sleeve?
Thank you 🥰 I’m a little obsessed with this one, the colour is just so right ✨ You can hack the sleeve for sure - you’ll need to play around a little, but generally, lowering and shortening the shoulder curve of the sleeve will result in a more fitted look. Best to try on a mockup, measuring the total circumference of your armhole on the bodice, and transferring that to the sleeve pattern.
I want a corduroy version, but I also want to make the keyhole back … does that mean I need to make two 😂?! I also loved the face you pulls in the reveal shot - did you have an audience?😅
As someone who now has four Amelia’s, I’ll say you totally need two haha. The more the better! No audience luckily, but it was super windy and my stuff was blowing away 🤣
I think the bottom ruffle situation was a happy accident, because the smaller would have poke out too much due to the structure of the fabric, I think it wouldn't have laid nicely.
You are right! It would have been too bulky most likely - I tried the tiered ruffle on another version with a more lightweight fabric and that ended up looking lovely ☺️
How would you hack the pattern to make the sleeve less puffy on top? I dont mind a good shoulder puff but for the versions I want a smooth shoulder to sleeve

Yes they are! I had each size tested by two testers, up to size 3XL European according to my size chart, which you can find in the Etsy listing :) Hope this helps!
