Making the door fit will be a challenge 😬

We saved the tricky part for last... the door. Since we fabricated a new A-pillar, it changed the angle of the post which means the door section isn't going to fit or align anymore. So the challenge will be to match up the body line then manipulate the rest to fit 😬

Everything is looking great bud. The chop, the doors, windows, windshield , the frame and all the work y'all have done is looking fanominal!!! You are great at what u do bad chad!! The crew is so talented as well including the queen Jolene 👍! This hotrod chopped patina '34 ratrod is gonna look badazz man! Can't wait to see it done and driving. Ohh I love how you do things to make things so much easier to do to save on $$, materials and time! You do it right and tight everytime ! I also luv how you teach us how to do it. Hey Joleen, at <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="60">1:00</a>:14 you can fix that with a mixture of distilled vinegar and hydrogen peroxide and salt. Put it in a spray bottle and spritz it on that area and let it rust until you like it. Then clean it up to stop the process. Only the internet will ever know it wasn't! :)

Chad and Jolene...I've been watching a fellow in the states `(EngelsCoachShop on youtube) working on antique equipment. To help blend in new srews, forging etc. he applies a concotion of vinegar and metal filings, it seems to do a pretty decent job of getting new to look old and rusted. I like look of the quarter windows, they match the overall look of the chop.

Hi Chad, I usual like your inventive ways in which you achieve results but I think that cutting the top of the door edge was not the best option as it may make the top of the door look unbalanced. Splicing the top back corner and letting it drop down would have achieved a good gap and only one splice to weld back up. Just a thought for the future maybe. Cheers, Tony

The distance between door window opening and drip rail could be narrowed 1/2" to 3/4" which might help you where "A" pillar swings up and rearward

I could be wrong, but if you brush on seam weak sulphuric acid solution, the grinded metal will rust.

Chad the rear coil springs have isolators in the inner coil? Its going to be a loud ride using those hand made metal cups if there is no isolators or inner coil risers to keep the spring centered. You will hear every squeak.
