ganondorf is great in this game because the severity of his evilness varies from "I created terrible storms in rito village and gerudo town that made both regions completely uninhabitable" to "i pissed in the zora's domain" and "i drugged the gorons"

Reminder that Sidon's special ability in Age of Calamity is literally called 'Unending Optimism'

I love how Rauru just gives Ganon their plans. "A master swordsman by the name of Link! He's a male Hylian, a little under 5 feet tall, blond hair. Can't miss him. He'll have the master sword and my powers of Ultrahand, Fuse, Ascend, and Recall, as well as descendants of the sages here today to help him. Are you writing this all down?

It’s called Tears of the Kingdom because it’s the tears of Miyamoto after RT solves a dungeon in the unintended way either with tears of joy by finding out how busted the Recall ability is or tears of despair as he files a cease and desist

This isn't surprising since this is the man that fought Gannon almost immediately

With the other sages it's fine because they're basically just astral projections but now with Mineru it becomes so much funnier because it's actually her having to watch this XD

I love how the sages are all like "I am a proud (insert race here). I will take this great responsibilty upon me and fight just as my ancestor did!" and then just dump the power onto Link and continue chilling out at their homes.

I don't know how, but this was actually my first dungeon. I was flying through the thunder head and got struck by lightning. Landed next to the shrine

What’s really funny is that if you go under the flying island you can ascend right into that first shrine 😂

RT's playstyle is so chaotic for someone trying to complete a permadeath run.

I did the 5th dungeon second by just being forever distracted, stumbling around on the foggy islands and stumbling onto the shrine and door. It *did* feel like the boss did a surprisingly high amount of damage.

I wonder if Sidon going down on one knee to grasp Link's hand was a peace offering to the shippers.

It's a pity that by getting to Mineru earlier than intended, you skipped the lead up to the thunderhead isles, which is a pretty neat section. You can still do it later and clear the skies over it, but it loses a little bit of the impact. That said, I also did Mineru early in my own playthrough.

I just feel bad for Sidon for having to wait so long to see Link again.

I love how everyone did just that, sequence broke the game to find the fifth sage this way before even talking to Purah.

I’m seriously depressed by the lack of comments about Rauru hitting that perfect Dim Mak 5 finger death punch on Gannondorf. He deserves his credit.

Technically he didn't even break it, he was just really clever and figured out where the shrine was using the methods he had at this disposal That's not broken, that's just really damn smart

weirdly enough, I think this sequence break is actually on brand for this game. you can do *anything* wanna go fight Gannon? go fight em wanna go there? you got it wanna sequence break to get stuff you're not supposed to? go right on ahead!

Watching RT have to strategically mark out where the island was, while I just blindly landed on it, is the perfect example of how open this game is, and of how much you can do with the tools it offers you.

Seeing you do this detailed way of discovering the dragon island is so funny to me, being I just acccidentally saw a rock fall from the sky, reversed it, and ended up at the shrine island immediately

I love how the placement of Sidon’s secret stone just amplifies his signature pose.

The real sequence break is when you arrive at the mask before getting the regional phenomena quest and the game tells you you're there too early.

It’s going to be hilarious when he gets the cut scene with Purah about the 5th sage, all while Miniru’s soul mech is in the background

From among the playthroughs I have watched you are the first person to actually give mineru decent weapons to fight with instead of leaving her unarmed, and also the first person to actually appreciate her instead of just complaining how weak and pointless she is (those two factors may be connected). Thank you.

I discovered that island completed on accident as I was messing about. It was so cool to stumble across something this big “out of sequence”.

*SPOILERS* I really like how the presence of the Spirit Temple and fifth sage is set up in this game. Their existence isn't outright told to you until late into the game, but if you pay close attention you might pick up that they probably exist early on, but even if you do, the _location_ of it is very unclear, unlike the other four temple questlines which are in the same areas as the BOTW Divine Beasts. Plus, the hoops you need to jump through to start the quest are pretty hard stumble into before you're intended* to, at least during a blind playthrough. Merely _finding_ this questline, either the intended* way or using some other hilarious means, actually feels like a _proper adventure!_ And your reward for finishing this questline is (in my opinion) definitely the coolest sage power. Though, it's a bit of a shame that if you play this game in the intended* order, you only do this right before the final boss. Honestly, I want to see someone do a playthrough where they complete the Spirit Temple REALLY early on, and see just how many situations they can use Mineru's -construct- *family car* in the rest of the game. Seems like it could really fun to mess around with. EDIT: I'm reading this comment section, and learning that multiple people originally discovered this questline by randomly _being struck by lightning_ and quite literally falling into the area where it starts. Holy crap, that sounds like an incredible thing to experience, and really goes to show that this is truly _your_ adventure. Every playthrough of Tears of the Kingdom is personalized.

I don't understand why the heroes didn't just rip out ganondorf's secret stone while he's frozen, beat him to a pulp when he couldn't do anything back to them, then freed rauru by pulling him from the corpse.

I gotta say that was one of the dumbest plans I've ever seen but by goodness was that incredibly smart of him

Sidon is the Ingo of this series. Both are important objectives to get to but RT keeps ignoring them and gets sidetracked.

I also had the experience of this sequence break, but knowing that pin trick or the ultrahand infrared would have been VERY helpful for my painful journey to stumbling into the door.

One thing I like about Ganondorf (or Ganon) is that they never fail to really sell you on just how powerful he is, and how tough he is to put down. When it comes to big bads in his caliber, they're usually either _literally_ invincible, or they're actually kind of a pushover once you do XYZ and unlock certain abilities. But, no, when it comes to Ganondorf, even if you have all the magical items, and have the special Chosen One powers, he's _still_ an absolute beast to defeat, in lore.

Great, I was hoping Daniel would start this video with Sidon because the other people I've seen TotK stuff from have abandoned the Zora as well, and how does the video start? "Let's skip this one Sage for now and get straight to Mineru via sequence breaking" God damnit RT xD

The fact he figured out on how to use the stamps to navigate Thunderhead island without completing the quest that clears up the storm is infinite IQ

I made it to that shrine through the thunderstorm as well, but i somehow missed the f*youtube*-off massive door, and it's so funny knowing now that i could have just done this too lmaooooooo

Why is the water temple boss just all of Deep Cut from Splatoon 3? It has Frye's big head, rides a shark like Shiver, and has arm flaps like Big Man. And also is a squid/octopus thing, with a ink like hazard and doesn't like water

They saw all the sidlink fix’s and decided to crush our dreams brutally by giving both of them relationships with other people

This was the second companion I ever got. I figured the thunderhead was gonna be like thundra plateau in botw so I just used Tulin to fly over and get it over with. Had absolutely no idea what was here and was flabbergasted when "main quest" popped up

link & the sages really are like a wow group! link is the leader & dps tulin & riju are dps also yunobo sidon is the support and mineru is the tank!

I got mineru as my third sage. I could see the big island through the storm when lightning struck, and just glided down onto it and stumbled into the room with the door lmao. I only realized, two sages and the final boss later, that you can (and were supposed to) dispel the lightning storm 😭

At the very beginning with thunderhead island I, a Floridian, simply launched myself into the eye of the storm as I normally do every hurricane season and instantly found the shrine

i did this segment "early" too. don't regret it one bit, it's now one of my favorite sequences in any zelda game. the sense of adventure upon stumbling across this insane main quest just by your own cunning alone is incredible. it really felt like i had stumbled into a crazy secret dungeon that no one else had seen before... even though that was obviously wrong. Link building a battle mech body for a sage's soul is just so wild. truly brought a Tear of the Kingdom to my eye

lol yeah I ended up finding Mineru on my way to the desert. It was fun when I finally got to the point where I was SUPPOSED to go find her and Purah was like "Wait what you already found the 5th sage??? AND you have the Master Sword??? Why the FUCK didn't you say anything earlier?!"

You'd think that he'd have gotten the fall damage immunity armor by now with how scared he gets

i just did this shrine by standing still and looking where the rain fell. it made an outline of the land and i used that to traverse

I didn't think to explore the ground below thunderhead, so I too found my way there without clearing the storm, very fun

i remember after i got the yiga shock proof helm i just fumbled through that storm for an hour blind trying to find what was in there without realizing it was the 5th dungeon lmao it was rough but im glad they let u do that, especially funny when you explain to purah that you already did everything at the end of the game lol

hey, i dont know if you know this but yo can go into bullet time form jumping off of mineru's back. its useful for getting flying bosses or stuff that is annoying to fight normally :)

I just realized that I got the sages in the same order as RT, including finding Mineru in the midst of the thunderstorm before *finally* making my way over to Zora's Domain, lol. I wonder how many people found Mineru through luck or stubbornness rather than waiting for the intended solution... Love this game and series. Great video!
