The Season 23 box set has a whole special where they get the cast to make food from the cookbook - from the announcement trailer, it seems like they’ve got Peri as well.. This is probably just a bit they didn’t use from the special, and they threw it on youtube.

The doctor who cookbook was released at the same time season 23 aired. All of the recipes (including this one) are on the Blu-ray set.

@@idjles in the US at least, filet is an alternate spelling of fillet, sometimes only for this food context, and both are typically pronounced fill-ay in the food context, while fillet is pronounced fillet in other meanings.

JagularsAndTiggers for me they are two words. Filet is a fancy noun about fish, and fillet is a verb and noun, not necessarily about fish.

@@idjles filet also has a separate meaning that doesn't have to do with fish or meat, but both spellings are accepted as the noun and verb having to do with cutting fish/meat

You know, something interesting I just thought about, is that the showrunners of the new series of Doctor Who, seem to be very similar to the movies of the DCEU. The first one (Russell T. Davis/Man Of Steel), was a reboot of everything, starting fresh, and while it had its haters here in there, most of the people felt satisfied with it. The second one.(Steven Moffat/Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice), while it seems like a good idea to start with, most people kind of agreed that went a little bit overboard, and off the rails, and wasn't as good as it could have been. Again, there was a handful that would disagree, and would say it's the best thing to ever exist, but most people agree that it, again, wasn't as good as it could have been. The third one (Chris Chibnall/Suicide Squa, was a complete trash-fest. With any luck, hopefully the next one (Wonder Woman) will be pretty good! Of course, it also implies the next one (Justice-League) will be another complete mess, and will completely crap over anything that the second one (Steven Moffat) tried to set up, but then we should get another good one, with the seventh one (Shazam!)!

it wasn’t just this. this is just a bonus recipe thing. the full special feature had several of doctor who actors in it, including nicola bryant and colin baker. i think this was added to the season 23 boxset because the cookbook was compiled during the gap between season 22 and 23.

@@V-grandraccoon watch ANY cooking show. When they prepare a dish they immediately swap out the prepared dish with an already cooked one. Regardless of how long it takes, someone should of had forethought before the show ever aired.i don't really care, just disappointed there was no climax. Even the presenters seems low about it

@SilentGunman Well it's not, but it can obviously affect your enjoyment of a Doctor's era or stories if you don't like the companions. Just like you are more likely to be fonder of a certain era if you love the companions! ;)
