I liked Jinkx Monsoon - funny villain. :) While of course "villains with layers" are more fashionable today I for one enjoy an outright utter bastard villain every once in a while. You know - like the Baltaar from the original Galactica. Or the Emperor. Belloq from Raiders of the Lost Ark. Evil for evil's sake? Check. Outrageous overacting: Check. With this type of villain "overacting" isn't a bad thing. :D
What have you done to Doctor who, bad acting, half of space babies was telling talking babies that they're perfect just the way they are, and the quality is so much worse, there's obviously been a budget cut, if the next few episodes don't deliver then I am nor gonna continue watching this crap if I'm honest
This is still weirdly one of the few episodes that kind of disappointed me. I actually forgot it existed, and came across this short. I almost thought it was the doctor cut into the original galactic rangers ship in ratchet and clank 3, it's got the right shape and a very similar color scheme and layout. Then I kept watching and saw that no, it wasn't. Was this only me? I feel like it was only me. It's probably only me.
Yeah I watched it to give it a try and it’s dreadful. It was a completely gay rant episode, there was crappy musical singing, a drag queen villain not trans at all or if it was supposed to be trans it’s a parody of one. The whole episode was a representation of the worse parts of the lgbt community and had zero elements of doctor who about it. To me it was a comedy sketch fit for children in need and I say this as both a huge doctor who fan and a member of the lgbt community. RTD has lost the plot, he took Davros out of his life support because he was afraid or making disabled people evil and yet at a time when lgbt is being hit he makes a horrific drag queen a villain. Mixed messages much. Complete farce of a show now thanks for ruining it completely
THIS is how you do a character race swap! Omg! This man is fine! He is so good looking!!! He has charisma! Good looking! Beautiful skin! Flawless skin! Beautiful smile! He is too fine I mean damn! Yes, I’ll ignore all the woke stuff, but I’m in! Can’t wait to watch this!
God i miss this, where the adventures felt so important and the characters were all so fantastically written. At least we still have classic who and classic modern who to fall back too while this series gets destroyed.
Something i don't understand is the ending performance. I didn't get the "held energy needing to burst" i would understand having the doctor and ruby finally listening to the beetles or join in as backups or something but it's like if at the end of the toymaker special, everyone decided to play cribbage.
I just want the doctor to be serious instead of light about issues. After everything we’ve seen the guy shouldn’t hesitate or say things like “impossible”
My concern with this isn't that he's putting supernatural elements into the show, it's that those elements might become an excuse for lazy writing. Good stories with supernatural regents still have to make sense - and they still have to have some form of 'rulebook' to play by.
After watching the first three episodes of Ncuti’s Doctor all I can say they need to continue the drama and not make light laughs at the doctor’s history. Jinx nailed the role.
When i was a wee lad in the 80s, Tom Baker was the first Doctor i saw as PBS played reruns of Dr who. Such a commanding presence and one of my deepest regrets never getting to meet one of my heros
No hate, absolutely no hate to the new hosts but this is just not it. Christel, Juno and Tyrell were amazing. I couldn’t get enough of the podcast during the specials but I don’t think I‘m going to listen to/watch the new "regenerated" version.
I swear they took away the dematerialising effect in the tardis. Pull the leaver, boom already there. I hope it doesn't stay that way because that was one of the best and iconic things.
The new Doctor looks great but I'm not a fan of the singing & dancing, star trek was the same & it didn't work well there either. Keep the musical panto stuff out of sci-fi shows please!
I'm giving up on Dr Who now. Sad times when it has become propaganda for increasing perversity and sexual-psychological dysfunction. Boo, boo, biased BBC.
The whole time I was watching this episode I was wondering why her face looked ugly and a little strange. Makes sense now, it was a dude playing her. 😂
This episode was so crap it made my fiancé (who’s normally very forgiving) say “That was the worst one yet.” Fire RTD now, he can’t write anymore. Props however to the jinx who’s acting almost carried the episode.
