I like that I made it past the intro. It felt like a check against my "am I a shussy?" stat. And that sponsor segment deserved every second of my attention.
if you try slave grinding again you can click the ground next to your character if they are using a machine to make them sometimes pick another machine on the other side of rebirth to help with grinding strength and athletics. you only agro the guards 1 out of 10 times. (some beatings are still good for that sweet toughness)
this is the best start tbh, you're surrounded by training medics, unwilling sparring partners and none of the animals that actually want you dead. my first start was as a slave and i came out of the prison swinging with 55 martial arts, 60 strenght and somehow a 200k bounty on my head from the holy nation
@@PapaCheddar yeah spent a lot of time getting beat up To this day i do not know how i managed to accumulate a 200k bounty, i've never been able to replicate it
@@PapaCheddar probably not? i'm not sure, kinda left fast before i got overwhelmed, it is unlikely tho, holy nation units have decent armor so you never quite deal fatal blows until harpoon launchers or high mastery + strenght weapons. Did wander the area and kill a bunch of holy servants tho
The statue is of Lord Phoenix. Okran is actually the name of a giant skeleton that shielded a small fraction of living beings from the explosion at the end of the Second Age. Even though the rest of his kin were sent to their deaths by the humans (marched to the now frozen melting pits north of the fog) he still kept them safe.

My kenshi experience was farming for a few hours till I got a house, than while mining for rock I had to use the bathroom. No biggie I figured, I’m mining rock anyway, so I left and when I came back I was a slave…

@@PapaCheddar There's 100s of Holy Nation Guards walking around on the Genesis version. Very difficult to escape, but it is possible. I just started again, My play thorough is start as a rebirth slave, escape, grow weed, make money, build an army, slaughter the holy nation, free Rebirth.
Honestly, the slave start is surprisingly easy if you spawn into rebirth, and are willing to take your time. Picking the locks, then beating up other prisoners and getting beat by the guards until your character levels up to super high stats. Then making a breakout by defeated everyone on your way out. Its like the perfect training center for making a superhuman.
You can also sneak everywhere, and once your sneak is around 70-80, just wait til a guard goes down, steal their armor, and just walk out. Just make sure to take off enough to break the disguise if you plan on going to the flotsam ninjas, otherwise your journey will be painfully short
I'm just imagining the other slaves watch Jimmy escape the pole like 'Oh yeah this guy is gonna free us!' and instead he starts beating them unconscious
Rebirth is the best gym in all of Kenshi. Let the game run for a while and you'll significantly increase labouring, sneak out every night and you'll level all your stealth skills, steal food and run around for semi-idle athletics leveling, attack and you'll get healed immediately, steal the cleavers from the guards and block to both level blocking and gradually cripple your bare-fisted opponents until they can no longer attack and are free to finish them off. If you stay in Rebirth until you kill all the standing guards.
Dude, started a slaves run. I looked away for like 5 minutes and the next thing I know one of my characters somehow walked out of prison and up a hill to an abandoned outpost to the east of the prison. I saw a skeleton walking along and talked to him, he just joined me and I got him to carry my injured character all the way to the hub lmao. Then my other character had to stay longer until their stealth was high enough to knock out a guard and walk out in a disguise. Dude is a master thief now, stealth in the 50s, can almost 100% knock out any shopkeeper and the guards, AND lock pick the safe all before they wake up.
Some trustworthy platform where you could do your thing and get a kickback would be an easy sponsor, imo. I contribute to hobbyists at Patreon and while I dont know legitimacy of Patreon, I'd like to see what you can do un-filtered if you'd consider such or similar membership service.
Patreon is better than YT memberships. Creators get a better percentage. I got a Patreon, but honestly I severely neglect it, theres nothing extra on there atm. I hardly have enough time to make videos let alone extra stuff unfortunately haha. Maybe one day, a girl can dream

I tried hiring an extra person just to abandon them to slavery as a training method. At some point the guards either ran out of bandages or simply tired of my shit and let them die on the floor.
Colored red? Hmmm... Only thing I can think of if it's stolen? But it would say "Stolen" in the item ui. They also have various degrees of quality. Like shoddy, standard, high, masterwork. Each with their own color. I'm new as well so i could be wrong though 😂
Weapons have a different texture depending on their level of quality. Rusted junk is the worst quality and it's a very deep and patchy red, then you have shoddy quality with a lighter and even layer of rust, then old refitted blades almost have no rust on them. Above this level of quality are weapons of recent manufacture that start from dark gray and are shinier the higher quality they are until you reach the unique weapons in the game, of the highest quality, which are almost a pure white. Armour doesn't visually change with quality.
Shek aren't actually Lizardpeople. What you see on their body are bone plates, not scales. I don't think this is directly confirmed in game, but there are a few things that actually point to Shek being some form of modified Humans.
lore wise, shek are referred to as "enforcers", they were specifically genetically modified to be a race of combat focused people. which is why their entire culture is based around the warrior spirit and warfare and shit. Like it's literally coded into their genetics, they're kinda like 40K orks in a way, they have a biological need to fight shit. (mainly skin-spiders since they were also designed to keep the skin-spider population in check.)

This takes me back to when I started as a prisoner in Kenshi, slowly built my skills and stats up, and became a master thief/assassin while still imprisoned. Every night, I would sneak out and bash guards in the head, lock them in a cage, steal all their gear, then stash it in a random crate, then get back in my cage before the rest of the guards found me. Eventually, I lead a revolt and released all of the rest of the prisoners and slaves, then snuck into Lady Kana's quarters, knocked her out, stole her gear, and imprisoned her in my cage, then made good my escape. It was a super fun and hilarious playthrough. Note, anyone placed in a cage is treated like a prisoner by the rest of the guards. LOL
If you keep unlocking manacles and saving them in containers, you can build up enough to fill your inventory.. they will really help boost your strength.

Honestly once you have enough experience with Kenshi the slave start is one of the easiest. You dont need money, don't need food, if you get beat up you get patched up for free, you just focus on grinding your skills until you feel ready to leave, possibly recruiting other escaped slaves in the process. 10/10 would recommend
It really was quite easy 😂 the internet lied to me... Never would have expected that... Lol Another cat told me about a mod that makes prisoner much harder. Increases guards and patrols. Haven't got a name though, but could be fun aha
@@PapaCheddar if you want an actual hard start, it's either rock bottom or the Cannibal Hunters. The UC slave farms are much worse training grounds than Rebirth and you don't start in the safety of civilization, while with the cannibal hunters you may not even be able to escape with one of your guys and after the first tribe you'll then have to dodge other tribes, gutters and not starve to death in your search for anyone friendly.
Slave start is pretty fun, as you can just be a general douchebag and not really worry about getting killed over it , so yea you can labor and stuff in day and sneak around lockpick and try to assassinate at night. Heck, I once made a character that tried to fight his way out over and over again, getting beat up and leveling the stats, until one day he did beat his way out XD P.S. Also you got a right to bear arms, no one said anything about human arms.
