That looks like roughly 112 chests, and 1120 slots. In an area that small, that's truly incredible, although I would still want to seal it and roof it, and circles are a pain to roof. If you put in a rug and a brazier after you've roofed it, you're probably looking at a minimum of 5 comfort as well, if not higher. If you're running multi-seed, which I tend to as a matter of course, this is probably the single best transporter room design that I've seen. You can load into this from another seed, drop everything you've mined/harvested from the other seed into these chests, and then go back very quickly. Then once you've done as many harvesting runs as you want, you can move everything in that general storage out to dedicated storage near your crafting tables afterwards.
Lol. I have an entire cart and two reinforced chests full of troll hide, and adding to it every day. I don't use signs either, they are unnecessary. I know where everything is with something like 95% accuracy. If I pick the wrong box, I'm usually just one off from the right one. The key is to make it logical (For example, a row of boxes would be something like this: wood > core wood > fine wood > ancient bark > yggdrasil wood > stone > black marble > tar > coal) Once you store your stuff in these boxes a few times you will easily start to remember which box holds what. And, no joke, I have a terrible, terrible memory except for numbers, which perhaps explains it. Maybe I relate to what goes in box 1, box 2, etc. But you should try it sometime. The signs are really not necessary. Think about your kitchen. Do you need a sign on the cabinet to know where the cereal is, or where the soup is stored? Repetition will remove the need for signs. But if you like the signs then of course use the signs. I think you probably like the idea of signs, the cataloguing aspect of it, but you really don't need it, and that's fine. Have fun.
@@VentusOath if one person can memorize which boxes hold what, the whole group can. I played Enshrouded with a group, and I soon learned where they decided to store everything. It's not that hard.
@@ChuckHaney "If I pick the wrong box, I'm usually just one off from the right one" or build a sign then don't pick the wrong box at all! mental gymnastics going on here to try and boost ego of making an inferior system? or to abuse the group making them waste time as well (just memorise it all bro/s)?
Very clever. I never thought to use ladders to hold chests. You might be able to fill in some of the blank space around the chests with helpful signage.
Nice, but you still could have put more in that middle space above and it would have doubled as a roof to protect the wood below. Once, i did something similar in a circular portal room in the spaces between. I didn't think to use the ladder to space them out though, so good thinking.
I've got everything I could ever need in the entire game in 4 reinforced chests and like 6 regular boxes.....people with there massive hundred box loot rooms is so pointless to me
why do that when iron chests are exactly 2m tall so you can just put a wall up and a 1x1 then place the chest on top and bottom. cool design but functionality is a little poor.
