That Excalibur is absolutely the best fan made ship I have ever seen, it looks more like a star fleet ship from the TOS era than any other ship I have seen. simply astounding.
Bill is such an amazingly talented Modeler. He’s one of the people whom gave me tips, tricks and showed me how to do certain things. Techniques I am using for my build of the Enterprise-F in 1/1400 scale! I hope to do him proud with this model.
God, I'm just in awe. The lights especially sell it so well as being real -- just an incredible job with the lighting. Of course the actual models themselves are fantastic as well, but the lights are just that final thing that brings it to life. Usually, I'll look at a model and be disappointed at how fake it looks compared to when it's onscreen -- no such issues here at all. Incredible.
Awesome, AdmiralBuck designs are just wonderful. So glad he now has several of his designs in canon. Very much deserved. Plus bonus Capt. Foley from Trekyards appears!
This guy's got amazing style, was geeking out over the Warp Nacelles on the Enterprise, taking style choices over some of the earlier ship designs. Truly impressive. 10/10.
Been following Bill for awhile because he's such a pillar and inspiration in the Star Trek model building community and its been amazing to see his designs get incorporated into Season 2 and Season 3 of Picard.
Both models are gorgeous! I love the slightly more advanced TOS look of the first model, and "shaolin spade" saucer section of the 1701-G. Just stunning!
How did you know that I was just reading the Memory Alpha entry on the Enterprise G and getting a little teary-eyed thinking about its origin. Close Chrome, open RU-vid, and here is this video... 5mins ago!
Bill Krause is a legend! I loved seeing his models this year at Wonderfest, and I can spy my 1/20 Macross Super Strike Valkyrie in the background...so awesome!
Bill is a fantastic modeler! One of the best. I've got a friend who can afford his work and has ordered several ships from him! And let me tell you his work is stupendous!!! Beautiful execution!!! Attention to detail is remarkable! Plus Bill is a really nice guy!!!
If this doesn't tug at your sci-fi heart strings, nothing will. I just want to be on the bridge of the Excalibur and take it all in when the captain says, "Take her out!". Ugh... Beautiful!!
Bill is a great artist, friend, and model maker. He inspires me to make a Trek model! So wonderful these videos are highlighting all of our Wonderfest Wonderfriends!
The Star Trek Constilation Model is Absolutely GORGEOUS the interior scenes etc are just amazing... stunning. As a one time model builder long ago and far... far...away I have to attend this Show next year...this is The Gobsmack of Model Shows from the teasty tempting joy on display...OMG!
Fantastic! So wonderful to see Bill and his astonishing models. Much as I like the Neo-Connie E, Bill's Excalibur is, to my mind, the pinnacle of the 'Starfleet clean' aesthetic. It seems whatever starship Bill turns his hand to, it comes out beautiful. Thanks for showing his work to a wider audience.
I don't love all of his designs I've seen online, but his Excalibur is one of my absolute favorites. He really did a nice job of giving it his own touch without turning it into something that would look out of place in Trek universe.
@@GCGBillIn my opinion that's the best philosophy to have as an artist. Do what you want to do because that's the way you want it be 🙂 It's a nice bonus if others like it, and I must say I really like them 😁
Love how these designs flawlessly work in either the TOS era of starship design and the Picard era too. Shout out to Cpatain Foley from Trekyards 13:24
Incredible work. I’ve collected as many renditions of the Enterprise as I could get my hands on over the decades. Most the larger scale I own are from Playmates Toys. I do have one Enterprise purchased about 1978-79 that the various parts can be placed here or there to build different ships. I never found a larger scale Enterprise-C. Just what Micro Machines released in the 1990s. I’d love to add this Enterprise-G to my collection if it becomes available. But Enterprise (mine is a kit from the 1960s), Enterprise-refit (a kit from the 1980s), Enterprise-A, Enterprise-B (and Excelsior), Enterprise-C (micro machines), Enterprise-D, Enterprise-E, Voyager. And Enterprise from the new time line.
Yeah for me the Titan never should of been renamed the Enterprise-G , They were gradually getting bigger and better equipped not a refit of a 20-30 year old ship.🖖👍
respect to Mr Krause and his iconic contributions to Trek. that Excalibur Refit is a beauty. also, so many people in the comments recognising Stuart in the background makes me smile.
I had intentions of attending Wonderfest, but I didn't get the models I wanted to finish for it completed in time and didn't have the PTO available even if I had. But I sure wish I had been able to, seeing these models!!
Those are some amazing Trek ships. The Macross models in the backround look great too. The valkyrie, female power armour, and battlepod have some fantastic paint jobs. By the way anyone else notice captain Folly from trekyards in the back at 13:28? I first learned about Bill and his amazing designs from trekyards.
Great Video Excellent work that he's done. I hope the studios will continue to use practical models along with the digital ones. Physical models do something more visually it seems.
