My favorite time of day is when I watch Bentley House Minis... It's like meditation for me! Just love this Wednesday doll! The boots are perfect and her hair - wow! Really amazing! I am working on a 1:12 scale doll myself, made with air dry clay, so I am watching a lot of videos of dollmaking just now. Making a dollhead that small is HARD.... But I am going for it!

I think you should "play" and pose family around their house doing different activities before you add more family members. I can't wait to see Grandmama "cooking" and Tish cutting rose heads. Love this project. I LOVE Wednesday-she's my favorite too.

Wow. Just WOW! Ara, your doll-making adventures have taught me SO much. The wigging tutorial here is fantastic...In awe of your ability to manipulate the viscose to mimic one of the most iconic hairstyles in pop culture history. However, you are a very intelligent woman to be able to make them all work together to create such professional projects. Your voice is perfect for tutorials and your hands are easy to watch. I went to see Terri's dolls and they are exquisite. I've never seen such beautiful dolls. I would just love to have one.

Wow Ara - Wednesday looks incredible. I have to say your work on the wig was great - you have a great intuition about how to lay the hair down and how to cut it and manipulate it in different stages, it looks absolutely perfect. It has been so great watching along as you have improved and this series has been so fun!

Wednesday is absolutely WOW!!

Oh my, you've come a long way! Your pattern designing, wigging & getting those tiny faces to look expressive - all have come on in leaps & bounds. You must be so proud, Ara, this is brilliantly done. Truly your smartest idea was to get your practice in on the other dolls before doing your fave. I can see just how much you love her in the details. I also love that you realised early on that doll-making required specialist skills & you made the decision to do the doll-making course with a professional. I don't personally enjoy putting dolls in my work, but in this case they are an essential part of the home & storyline. I imagine others like me might've just outsourced this job or just put clothes on pre-made 1/12th scale dolls, but clearly you love the Addams' far too much for that to happen. Until your Addams series, although I thoroughly enjoy miniatures, I've had no interest in dolls of any kind since I was about 9 or 10yo. Congratulations on changing that. I might get into the feel of things by grabbing some Barbie dolls from the charity shop to go all Frankenstein on & practice some skills, before I invest in accurate scale dolls. Maybe I'll make your paper clay Iron Maiden too - it looks like so much fun! Hey, don't you think the Addams' would be the kind of family to have an Iron Maiden tucked away in a storage space some where? LOL

I know I’ve said it before of how amazing and talented you are, at the way you execute all of your miniatures is just pure genius.

A super easy way to make form fitting patterns is to wrap the figure in clear plastic wrap and then duct tape over the plastic where you want the pattern. Then you just draw on it with sharpie where you want to make the cuts, cut it out, then add a seam allowance by drawing the line away from the edges of the pattern when you transfer it to the fabric.

I watch a channel where she does doll customization. She uses a product called Worbla to make shoes and accessories have you ever tried working with that? I imagine you could use it to make all kinds of things with miniatures.
