I learned how to juggle up to 7 balls or nearly 5 clubs back around 2007. Since then I haven't juggled much and lost a bit of it, but still have a lot of the memory from it left. I've been woodturning for a little while now and this inspires me to make a wooden set of my own. Thanks!
thanks for this video. I recently started turning and I just now started juggling. I have a goal to juggle clubs I made. I think there must be some way to use the different species of wood and their respective densities to optimize the weight balance. You may have already done that with the denser dark woods in the fatter part. I wonder if skipping the nice-looking stripe down the handle would change things up. It might balance them perfectly, it might throw everything off. I don't know. In any case, this was a great starting reference. Thanks from an aspiring wood worker and juggler!
Good luck with yours. Honestly, if you are determined to make your own clubs, I'd suggest using lighter woods overall, but really, I just use some simple plastic clubs for actual juggling. Definitely fun to make though. Cheers!
definitely need to post some more stuff, already subbed and post notifications on. also I'm not an expert on wood working but one day I hope to have my own hobby, what did you call the machine at 3:28? watching people work with that is beyond satisfying.
Too heavy & too hazardous to juggle. Make two or four after searching for use as; Indian Clubs, Swinging Clubs, Spinning Clubs. They were once popular for exercise and came in much smaller and much larger sizes than this. The knob end can be shaped and sized to your own preference.
