Thanks for recommending this video to watch you make cards out of your prints! I am going to experiment with a variety of liquid glues I have as well as ModPodge to adhere the prints to the card stock. I like to have a little “wiggle” room. It has been so much fun watching your tutorials today! You made my day!
Beautiful! Thank you very much for your great tutorial. What kind of paper do you recommend for gelli pad printing? I don’t particularly want a paper that buckles when wettenedxwith paint. I want to make a print and adhere it to card stock.
Dear Vikki, I like your cards very much and have a question, how do you get the glace ore gloss on them? Thank you for all your informations about the geli printing with beautiful colors! Lots of love,Angela
Angela, I'm not sure of your question, I believe that the Golden Fluid Acrylic Paints have a certain glaze or gloss to them, and if you want more you can apply Golden Gloss Acrylic Medium, I hope that helps!
Debbie, thank you for your question. The rice paper is harder to glue smoothly to cards, which is why I use copy paper, or heavier stock for the greeting cards. I use matte media for the rice paper when adhering to canvas or panel for painting, but glue on rice paper, then trying to smooth it down...more than likely the result will not be good. I'm just experimenting with "Sticky Stuff" from Joggles, it might be an option for the rice paper, but until you know, use heavier stock, and matte medium, or my method of the ATG tape. Thanks for watching!
Hi Vicki, new subscriber here. I’m wondering what type of paper you’re using for your prints. Not sure if it’s just the camera or not but the paper seemingly has a shine to it? Thanks in advance!
Hi Kathy, thank you for your question, the paper in this video is 32 lb. copy paper, (some black 92 lb. stock is used as well). The combination of the paper and acrylic paint does seem to create a shine. Here is the link if you want to try the paper out from Amazon (but this is a full 500 sheet package) amzn.to/3Bq0bN8 - I'm putting together an Amazon page with the items I use most - I may earn a small commission when you purchase - but that helps me going!
