you probably dont give a shit but does anyone know a method to get back into an Instagram account?? I was dumb forgot the password. I would love any help you can offer me!
@Mustafa Micah thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm trying it out now. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I am amazed at his leather craftsmanship! No words to discibe his talent. I am so glad I have come across his channel, and as far as he saying this video was too long, not so! He is way to full of knowledge to not want to hear him talk! He is the type of jolly gentleman that it would be a pleasure to set and talk to him. Well, cheers to all, I'll be back! From the Mountains of Virginia, USA, Take care, stay well
Dear CT1, thank you for sharing this video sir. You are very authentic and natural. RU-vid needsmore real people such as yourself, we are getting tired of fake people pretending to be some stereotypic personalities.
Just found your channel sir! I love your accent & your personality! I’m a new to making leather goods so I’m glad I found your channel!! Cheers from the States
You can get ready mixed leather balm, but you don't want all those chemicals in them really, but the one I knock up will waterproof the leather, because if it gets wet you DO-NOT want to quick dry it, as it won't last 5 minutes.
I have just uploaded a video showing you how to mix the wax and coconut oil together, along with my new neck knife from Todd Barnaby, also I have a new member to join us,, can you help my friend out please,? he has just joined us, and he is new to all this, he could do with some subs, he is here in the UK along with Pete, Todd, and now Ray, his channel name is Silvertown Bushcraft, he is on this page further down if you look, thanks again buddy.
People who bee farm are a wonderful source for not only honey but the wax as well. I got one pound from a local person via Facebook buy and sell. This way I have the satisfaction of supporting a local person.
You should add ALL these products to your videos description and become an affiliate with amazon, etc. This way you make ALOT more money then just monetizing your videos....Hope this helps sir. Much luv and respect from California.
I just make these videos in the hope that it will help someone out, or give them the courage to have a go themselves, I don't get paid by anyone when making a video, they are there in the hope that people will enjoy them.
hahahaaa you have a great sense of humor sir, as well as being a great crafts man. your videos are wonderful to watch i really enjoy them. i hope to be able to watch them all some time soon.. your knowledge of leather work and how to care for it is impressive to say the lest...hope you have a great week and will do another video soon looking forward to it SIR!!
Mmm Coconut Oil & Beez Wax Mmm, Will give this a go, Ray ! Love the single pouch with the Double Barrel Snaps. Thanks 4 showing your Necker Pouch Bravo ATB Terry God Bless
Thanks Terry, I am thinking of doing that on the pouches now, as I think it looks better than that leather loop stitched on the back, it's quicker to put on and take off.

yes you can melt your beeswax, then add your boiled linseed oil, and then add your turpetine, mix in well while it is on the heat, but DO-NOT let it boil, if you see a slight bit of smoke, take it off the heat A.S.A.P.
Hi yuh Charlie, New proud owner of a leather pouch here. My question for you is, would you recommend sticking with a heat gun for helping the balm soak into the leather better or would I be able to set my leather pouch out in the sun for 5 minutes or so? Would the UV rays be too harmful for fading of the leather to where you wouldn't recommend this technique? If so, what type of "heat gun" are you referring to? Thanks much in advance :)
Yes, but don't hold it too close to the pouch, and keep it moving, as it melts rub it in with a cloth. Do-not leave it in the sun, as it fades the leather very quick.
@@charlietango1635 What about coconut oil? No coconut oil in the balm mix? Or the coconut oil is for another type of mix? What about the waterproofing mix? Do you have two or maybe three mixes? The waterproofing mix is different from the conditioning balms?
@@keithcronk7980 YOU COULD SOAK IT IN IT, OR SOAK IT IN NEETSFOOT OIL, BUT IF YOU HAVE LET IT GO HARD AND BRITTLE, THEN IT IS A QUESTION OF SUCK IT AND SEE, YOU COULD ALSO USE DUBBIN, GOOD FOR WATER PROOFING AND MAKING THE LEATHER SOFT
My car's leather (Mercedes Genuine Leather) is all hardened and cracked but cracks are not my problem. The HARD cardboard leather is what i want to fix. Tried all off-shelf stuff. Now i need something which is not chemical and salesman propaganda. What do you suggest?
Can you use Vaseline for cracking leather? I DONT want it turning dark though it’s a beautiful beige colour can you pls help what can I use on it? Thanks
Hi thank you for your video. I have a few questiosn about the beeswax: You mentioned it getting sucked into the leather due to heat. Does regular, day to day heat (say I leave my leather bag in the car for a few days) does the wax melt off and drip off the leather? And after some time, with dirt and dust accumulating on the leather, won't the beeswax absorb the dirt into the leather causing ugly discoloration? How do you clean the beeswax? How do you clean the leather after the dirty beeswax is absorbed into the leather? Thank you so much in advance for the help and reply.
you should clean it with leather balm cleaner, or you could wipe it with a damp cloth to wipe the dirt off, but it should not lift the wax out, then just let it dry at room temperature, once the wax has been melted into the leather it will not run out of the leather, don't leave the bag in the sun for long periods, you should melt the wax into the leather bag with the wife's hair dryer or your heat gun, you will see it being absorbed into the leather.
Hello there, you will need, half a bottle of boiled Linseed oil, 1pound of bees wax, half a bottle of turpentine. first thing to do is, melt the wax in a saucepan, (take it off the heat) then pour in the linseed oil and the turps stirring when you put it back on the heat, (do-not let it smoke) take it off the heat and stir well, then put it in a container that will hold it all, you can also use this as a waterproof for wax coats etc.
I have some Clarks leather shoes that have lines stretching up from a seam and deep creases when I wasn’t wearing them. Would this be good for that do you think? Their cream has left it patchy after I stored them for a bit. Thanks :)
Try a shoe tree when not wearing the shoes. This will keep the leather taut and will help to keep the lines at bay. Also rub in some leather balm whilst the tree is in the shoe?
I did some research and found Fractionated Coconut Oil or MCT oil is basically refined and should get rancid. currently using this mixed with bees wax for wood chopping board and leather items and so far so good.
@@supernova1976 Thanks for the input! I was just thinking about MCT for eliminating the white residue often remaining on leather garments when using the coco oil.
@@brianmgrim Yes this is my understanding, when the MCT is separated and extracted from coconut oil, it also leaves the taste and smell behind in that white thick oil. Which leaves the MCT oil tasteless and odorless.
Hi CT1 - Ive come back to this video to make some leather care oil but this one is water repellant for boots etc. Im wanting one to rub into my leather sofas. Can you help? You made me a dog training vest so you have my email address.
