You are literally the best Camtasia teacher I've ever come across, thank you so much Troy!! I've used FCP for years and you just convinced me to start using Camtasia more regularly.
Jessica, that's so generous of you! Thank you! I've been using Camtasia for 20+ years, but in the last 3 or 4 years its feels like they added a turbo to it. :). The software really has some wonderful power without getting scary complicated. I hope you enjoy the journey, too!
Love this top 10. Have been using Camtasia for 4 months now for training & tutorial videos. But now I am excited to use Camtasia for RU-vid videos. Looks like I will be moving away from what I currently use for RU-vid and utilising Camtasia as I have found it so easy to use, feature filled, intuitive and great to work with.
Very good video.😊 Very good tool.😊 For me there is an important e feature missing in audiate : numbers of word displaying simultenously. Because Audiate create long subtitle. So when you create a youtube shorts the text is too small (in portrait orientation). It would be great to add a setting to allow only to display 5 words à the same time in subtitle
Thank you for your excellent tips. I even learned from how you created your presentation. Techsmith has a great array of presenters......you are definitely at the top! Please keep making more videos.
@@techsmith it’s going well. The biggest challenge I’m facing is around audio sounding a bit “echo”-y, but that’s not a Camtasia issue - I just need to adjust my microphones for a new environment. I’m loving Audiate - great tool! I’m also shooting a lot of external video in 4K - I’ll wait and see how things go with proxy clips and such. The over-all screencasts and especially the new library features are fantastic in every way.
@@LearningandTechnology one "adjustment" worth trying is putting a towel on your desk while recording. it absorbs the echo coming off of all your hard surfaces (desk, monitors). Also... huge props for using proxy video on the 4k videos. That's a ninja-level move!
Wow: awesome video. I've been using Camtasia on Windows for years then on Mac (for a couple of weeks). And still, I've learnt many great tips. Thanks :)
when I cut the text timeline to add a new sentence on my video, all properites disappear such as font, size and visual effects I have to modify that to every new sentence Is there any solutions to keep the first properities during the whole timeline even after cutting it? thanks a lot
@@techsmith after cutting the text timeline, and pasting the new text unfortunately it doesn't preserve the previous properties at all. is there any solution pls?
:). I was having a good time making the voice over. Then it took me like an hour to find a dog and green screen. So much for off-the-cuff voice overs. - Troy
We're definitely better. ;) We'd be biased answering that one. But I can say we have MUCH stricter security requirements as ByteDance (who owns Capcut & TikTok) makes no secret of their data-mining and lax security.
If you have Audiate generate dynamic captions, then you can edit anything related to what they look like, otherwise they will appear as standard closed captions.
Is it better to record PowerPoint presentations from within PowerPoint? Or by exporting the PPT pages as image files? If I don't use PPT animation, what do I gain using PowerPoint? Some kind person please advise.
There are advantages to both, but this tutorial shows how to do each. support.techsmith.com/hc/en-us/articles/360029430171-How-to-Record-a-PowerPoint-Presentation-or-Import-the-Slides-into-Camtasia-Video- If you want to show animations created in Powerpoint, it may be beneficial to record your presentation. Importing slides brings them in as individual images in Camtasia where you can then add annotations and animations in Camtasia to customize it, but it will not import Powerpoint animations. Hope this helps!
Are you referring to the cursor arrow? In Camtasia 2022 you can scale your cursor, edit the path, or create a whole new cursor path! Check out this tutorial to learn how: www.techsmith.com/blog/tutorials/camtasia/cursor-effects/
@@SiyamandRashid Hi Rashid, that arrow is part of the sketch motion callouts. They are in the Annotations. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZLKmXE_ZwiU.html. - Troy
@@TechSmithSupport Thanks again, I dont want to be an anoying person but the arrow you have used at 1:09 is not inside camtasia it may be a png photo inserted
The problem with Auto-Mix voice and audio is its not working by audio level, for example my voice some part muted but background music not increasing, its only works where the voice not exist (Removed in Layer) not based on audio level sadly, even totally muted
I believe you're talking about the Emphasis effect, and in that case, you're correct, the idea is that the level of audio volume remains the same throughout, but that means that if your narration stops, the music volume increases to compensate. If you don't want that, you can manually lower your music level throughout and not use the effect. It's simply a tool to make people's lives easier in a drag-and-drop effect, but won't work in every scenario.
No! As long as you choose your language before transcription Audiate will currently ALSO recognize: Dutch, French, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese and many local variations of Spanish (Castilian, Argentinian, Mexican, etc).
@@techsmith I only speak english and German... but the german tests I ran were fantastic! I recorded news from a german tv show and the speech to text was impressive.
Focus is the idea, but the feature. Troy shows off at least 5 in that moment, which include: Visual Effects: Freeze region Animations: Scale Up (& Rotate/Tilt left) Visual Effect: Spotlight Cursor Scaling (& replace cursor) in Properties panel Click effect: Library, then, Emphasis FX, Bursts & Collapses and BFX-006 But there's even more you can do and find to help get yoru viewer's attention with a little creativity!
@@danielfoster533 Not to mention the myriad bugs that pop up as time goes on. I have had to go back to version 2018. EXTREMELY disappointed and a waste of money ver.2022
