There's a rule about that poster... I want the die grinder like you have. Some good kit in the range.

I have one, its worth the money, I love it! I will be using it today. It cuts other material than metal as well.

What other materials have you been using yours on? It's a great tool.

@@englishhomestead recently used it to cut FRP, its a plastic type panel used in kitchens in restaurants and in medical office applications as well, as it is easy to wipe clean.

@@AbellTo yes! I made it. I'm 43p richer now. Feels good to have reached that goal. Thanks for the help! I'm going to try to stick to one video a week if I can.

Can you use it on wood
@englishhomestead
@englishhomestead 23 дня назад
@markdsouza2793 it's not something I've tried, but I'd say no, it punches out thr small pieces of metal, so I don't think it would work in wood.

@englishhomestead
@englishhomestead 5 месяцев назад
Depends what material you're trying to cut. 1.2mm glav is easy.

@@englishhomestead Thanks ! this tool intrigue me a lot! I saw it in an episode of one of my fav show, the Restorer's used by Ted
@englishhomestead

@OZIL761 what I like about it over a grinder is that there's no heat produced (or not much) so the risk of fire in the workshop is loads lower.

@@englishhomestead nice !!! More doubts gone now….

@OZIL761 it is pretty niche though and expensive so you need to justify it on those grounds.

I bought my first, a Hitachi, nibbler back in 1982, iirc. It was mains powered back then and I still have it. An excellent tool for what it does, but I found out the hard way not to sweep the little crescent bits of swarf off the bench with a bare hand, they are deadly sharp! I also found that walking over them meant that they stuck into the soles of my shoes and then got imbedded in the carpet at home, only once though. Crawling about on my knees with needle nose pliers, to unhook them from the carpet pile, before Mum found them.

Oh man, that one was a year before I was born then! I agree about the swarf from it. Gets everywhere. I have to be careful with my bench or it soon gets bedded into it. Same when I'm drilling the metal for my scoops!
