This compressor is defective trash. Look up "Makita MAC5200 keeps shutting off" or "tripping reset" or variations. I had used mine for less than an hour when it stalled upon attempting to refill its tank and blew its own (not the household) circuit breaker. It turns out that this is a widespread occurrence with this model. I had it serviced under warranty. The only thing to attempt was replacing the check valve. After the repair I used the compressor for 10 minutes or so until it stalled and blew its circuit breaker again. It is topped up with oil and used in an extremely undemanding environment. This product is known to be fatally flawed and should have been pulled from the market years ago. Makita is banned from my shop now. AVOID.
My sight glass to fill my Mac 5200 for whatever reason is not reading on the Red Dot so how many ounces do I actually need to put in when changing the oil
I think the original bottle was about 10 ounces but not sure. I don't have access to that compressor and I don't know remember what I did in the video.
Honestly couldn't tell you, we only use it for staple guns. The thing I don't like on this one though, is that the tank is small , that starts to refill right away and it's loud
Those quick couplers on the machine that come with the compressor will fail over time. Probably one and a little later, both. Just replace from the start with quality US made quick couplers.
yeah its loud...but she packs quite a bit of power for the pricetag.6.5 scfm is pretty damn good.she will run an air hammer no problem...except it would have to be like 10 second bursts.
@@DimplesDon9 wala akong video na magtrip yong house breaker . Pag nag trip yong compressor, baka may tubig sa tank, marumi yong filter or bad capacitor
That is loud will be much louder if it was being used in a single or double car garage. Makita should have included ear protection since it has storage for it.
