I love the color and simple-boxy-compact look of the Makpacs, but had to completely switch to Bosch L-BOXXes because of the faster disconnect and the ability to crack open lower boxes. I still proudly line my Makpacs on a display shelf though, if they ever decide to adapt Systainer 3 then I might switch back
I have about fifteen of these boxes. I know lots of people are critical of them, and I agree with some of their points. I like having an individual box for every tool or kit. I can just take the ones I need for a task and leave the rest. I usually wait for them to go on sale then buy a few at a time. I agree you can’t slam them around or bash into them, I have some Ridgid boxes for that kinda stuff.
Thanks for vid, I love my makpac cases there light, they fit everything I need and the price can't be beat. I dont need bulky oversized protective cases that are 2 or 3 times more expensive for the work I do.
Flimsy and way, way overpriced for simple boxes. I got two "free" with my track saw purchase (love the saw itself) and only bought one more smaller box so I could hold my various track saw parts and carry it with the other two (square, clamps, blades, spare batteries, etc.). Otherwise, I'd never get them. They are nice in that they connect to Festool sustainers... not that I have any. May come in handy when I decide to pickup a dust extractor and can place them on top.
Out of all the systems this is the worst by far, having the handle on the top is awkward and not having a see through top is terrible, to me makita put zero effort into this system it’s a bunch of boxes, no rolling cart who wants to stack everything on a dolly or a roll around cart that you can’t move in the snow over grass or up stairs, as a plumber this system doesn’t work for my needs
