I love the color and simple-boxy-compact look of the Makpacs, but had to completely switch to Bosch L-BOXXes because of the faster disconnect and the ability to crack open lower boxes. I still proudly line my Makpacs on a display shelf though, if they ever decide to adapt Systainer 3 then I might switch back
Bought this thing. Absolutely HATE it! Not variable speed so no control. It does come with a nice set of bits but I'll always go to my variable speed drill for driving screws rather than this thing.
I have about fifteen of these boxes. I know lots of people are critical of them, and I agree with some of their points. I like having an individual box for every tool or kit. I can just take the ones I need for a task and leave the rest. I usually wait for them to go on sale then buy a few at a time. I agree you can’t slam them around or bash into them, I have some Ridgid boxes for that kinda stuff.
Lmao you had a hard time finding this?my brother in Christ it's literally a rebranded crescent tool lol Home Depot has had this exact crescent model for years
Thanks for vid, I love my makpac cases there light, they fit everything I need and the price can't be beat. I dont need bulky oversized protective cases that are 2 or 3 times more expensive for the work I do.
I'm considering a cordless screwdriver weak enough not to destroy those Philips heads. Does it have any torque adjustment? Yeah, it may sound weird, but PC components and PC boards can be easily destroyed with high torque power tools. I searched for and purchased a cheap one from Aliexpress but this one cannot screw/unscrew cooling fans, just too weak. So, I was looking for something stronger but capable of low torque. This one came out of Amazon search and Makita is a reputable brand. So, I was almost in the process ordering it. Yet, I wasn't sure it has any 'softer' functionality.
You need power tools to turn a tiny screw? Buddy, just use a screwdriver 😂 You're already worried about stripping screws out but you wanna use a powered driver vs just a simple screwdriver 🤦🤦
I don't work on computers myself , but people who I seen do reviews on cordless screwdriver like this Makita, the 7.2v Makita screwdriver and impact, the metabo 3.6v ( Hikoki outside the us) and the Milwaukee 4v . Vessel also makes good electric precision screwdrivers
You think that gimmicky reversible jaw replaces a pipe wrench in any capacity? 🤣 Just gonna slide on you and hit your hand unless it’s already loose. I bought a Klein version solely because a Trane supply house messed up their pricing and was selling a $40+ wrench for $8. Had no interest in the, “pipe wrench,” function but a damn steal for a 10” Klein.
I haven't ever used it as a pipe wrench, but it was advertised as so on the packaging, so I figured that I would include it in the video. Maybe in a pinch of not having one, you could possibly get it to work, but it all depends on the application.
Rebranded Cresent, rebranded GearWrench set. ;) I have the same set, Cresent branded. Well made and heavy all-in-one spine drive set. They work with my GearWrench pass-through set as well (sockets, extensions, handles). At first, I thought it was gimmicky, but they actually come in handy around the garage/yard as a all-in-one set to have on-hand for quick fix stuff... mower, gen, snow blower, fencing. Grab an extra GearWrench 3/8" pass-through handle and extension to keep with it.
Flimsy and way, way overpriced for simple boxes. I got two "free" with my track saw purchase (love the saw itself) and only bought one more smaller box so I could hold my various track saw parts and carry it with the other two (square, clamps, blades, spare batteries, etc.). Otherwise, I'd never get them. They are nice in that they connect to Festool sustainers... not that I have any. May come in handy when I decide to pickup a dust extractor and can place them on top.
Out of all the systems this is the worst by far, having the handle on the top is awkward and not having a see through top is terrible, to me makita put zero effort into this system it’s a bunch of boxes, no rolling cart who wants to stack everything on a dolly or a roll around cart that you can’t move in the snow over grass or up stairs, as a plumber this system doesn’t work for my needs
It works great, especially with how quiet it is, if you go out first thing in the morning to a flat tire you won't wake the entire household or neighborhood to fill up! The only downside would be the tank size, but if you need to run it, it fills fast
@@BrihnCustomCarpentry I have the 1 gallon version, which is quieter (58 db) and lighter (25.5 lbs) and it will eventually fill a tire. I was wondering what tank size or CFM should one consider when wanting to inflate tires in a reasonable amount of time and if possible stay at 40 to 50 lbs.
In that case, I use an 8 gallon Husky air compressor as my go to when I'm not on a job, I also have the older Makita battery air pump. I just today in fact patched a tire for a friend and filled all of their tires up with just the battery one in only a few minutes from 6psi to 36psi.
What really drew me to this tool in particular was how unique it is, I love a multi use tool. I have a shopsmith at my shop and I just think things like this are neat
It's absolutely perfect for what I need, it's quiet enough that when I'm using it all day I don't have a ringing in my ears at the end of the day, and with the 2 gallon capacity, it's perfect for the type of carpentry I do on a normal basis.
