We really like our Makita tracksaw! In this video I wanted to tell you a little about the features that I like about my Makita SP6000J, and how it has replaced the circular saw in my shop for most (but not quite all!) tasks for my projects. The track saw excels at breaking down sheet goods like plywood into more manageable sizes.

The 1 degree function is super handy for giving a leading edge when handing doors 👍

Great review of this tool. I have the battery powered Makita, but will probably invest in the corded model too. I too thought that the Festool were the most expensive and top of the line, but I was wrong. There is a company called Mafell that makes a track saw that is crazy expensive. If Festool is the Rolls Royce of track saws then Mafell is the Lamborghini. I've only seen it on one RU-vid and that was a comparison review by the Concord Carpenter. Keep up the good work.

Hello. Very excellent presentation. Have you ever put your cut against a straight edge to see if there is any day light between your cut and the straight edge ? I appreciate your input. Thanks

I guess I haven’t put a true straightedge against it, however you can mate two cut pieces without any visible gap. The straightness is very very good.

Why people say you can’t use the Diablo blade in them ? Bec of the arbor

You need a negative rake blade, circular saws usually have a positive rake blade. You could use one, but it wouldn't be as smooth to plunge with. Mitre saws also have negative rake blades, for smoothness of operation.
