Hey Russ! It's hard not to say beautiful, spectacular, everyday. You've taken us so many unique places. That canyon is truly a beautiful, hidden gem. Must have been great to have the whole place to yourself in a storm. I tell my dog who hates to get his feet wet the same thing......Marty, I don't control the weather! See you tomorrow, hopefully!😀🌻

Absolutely incredible scenery! One would be hard pressed to pick just one state for it’s beauty, because each state is a show stopper! And, the drone shots rock my world every time!! Loved the sunset at the end!!🥰🐾😘🐾

I lived in Glendive for 6 years and went to Makoshika over two dozen times. I loved the place and the quiet was awesome. When you were leaving town you drove by the RR depot where I worked on the right and the old beer jug on the left where I had many an excellent sandwich

I noticed the old R.R. Depot as Russ drove by. Beautiful building with lotsa history, no doubt. Would love to see the inside.

With all the beautiful places in Montana it would take me months to see everything. Makoshika State Park surely is one of the tip of the ice burgs to see. Yes, those were petrified wood and loved the layers of rock formations. Geology has always been one of my interest. Russ about what time to plan to go live Sunday.

Also lived in Glendive. Was there from 1981 to 1985. At that time there was a public rifle/pistol range in the park. It appears to be gone now. Park entrance was free to Glendive residents. The weather can be brutal. I suffered through hail storms, 110 degrees in the summer and 40 below in the winter. Engine block heaters are mandatory for winter driving. Still have friends there.

Wonderful video despite the rain. I don't know if anyone has ever said this, but I greatly appreciate the fact that you keep your videos rated G without foul language and curse words. I can share your videos with FB friends, as well as let my grandkids watch them, and not worry about any unacceptable language. With some videos there are frequent curse words, and I have to shut it off and not subscribe to that channel. Thanks again, Russ, for your diligent work in bringing terrific videos for us to enjoy, and travel with you. Have an awesome day. Greetings from central Florida. :)

The beer jug burned down in 2018. Glendive is a hidden gem , Makoshika is one of the best places to see the stars at night. The northern lights can be seen too. Just a detour, on the way to Sydney there are the most beautiful campsites along side the yellowstone river. Best thing about this part of Montana and N, Dakota .......no people!

The Beer Jug did burn, but not down to the ground. It was gutted by the fire, but it still stands. I was there in the summer of 2021.

Boy that was a different place to visit. I liked the way the erosion was cutting all that rock into sculptures. That was worth seeing. I always liked camping through thunderstorms at night. They were always pretty spectacular to see at night. I enjoyed the stop at that campsite. Happy trails.

Thank you for such a wonderful video of our state park! It's so awesome to have it right here in our backyard. You portrayed it wonderfully in the rain. I was waiting for you to slip with your camera. Glad you didn't try doing the hills. The mud in Makoshika is beyond slippery when wet. Thank you!

Are you going to Duluth, Minnesota on Lake Superior? It has a very beautiful sceneries and history especially the biggest lake in the world. A lot of thick forest iron mines around the area and the north shore to the Canadian US boarder. And a lot of activities going on, good museums, camp grounds and nice Minnesota people. Water falls, rivers, lakes, board walks, light house, well preserve small towns USA, arich history of mansion.

Watching this in 2020. Didn't find you til late last yr. Great videos - been watching all your summer 2019. This area in MT is prettier than Teddy Roosevelt National Park in the ND Badlands area that we visited when we lived in ND. Never made it to southern half of MT when we lived in ND. Glacier & N into Canada were always our go to vacations. Looks like we missed some pretty interesting stuff in MT.

Great video! I happened across this because I was looking for information on Glendive, MT. My Great Grandfather moved there in 1909. I'm trying to get in touch with folks there that may have information on what the draw was to that area at that time. I see too that I need to turn on the dashcam in my RV and start narrating my travels!

Jurassic Park, lol. You just mentioned the dino head sticking out the museum wall. Interesting formations & the land must be crazy old! Would be neat to have a geologist along to explain some of this ancient land. So happy Teddy Roosevelt saved these lands for us and whoever may have helped him. Wonder if the Badlands are similar in appearance to the things in this park. Wish I'd had forethought to take my son's to these parks many years ago. I just learned of some of these parks by seeing these videos. Fascinating!

Live 5 minutes away, love the point if rocks camp site. Some of the trails are dicey even in the best of conditions. There are some parts of the park that are not accessible when wet.

Teddy Roosevelt lived in the badlands of N. Dakota, Medora, ND, to be specific. He had a cattle ranch there. He left his home in New York State to grieve the loss of his wife and mother both of who died on the same day. North Dakota helped him to toughen up for the time when he joined the military and later for politics, as he became the 26th American president. I lived for a few years in North Dakota and the people are very kind-hearted. I am from Glendive, MT.
