ingredients:-
fish 500-600 gms
turmeric powder ½tsp
Salt 1Tsp
coconut oil 1Tbsp
fresh coconut 1cup
raw mango ½cup
Green chili 2
mustard seed ½tsp
fenugreek seeds ½tsp
curry leaves 7-8
Chopped onions 1cup
ginger garlic paste 1Tbsp
red chilli powder 1½tbsp
coriander powder 1Tbsp
turmeric powder ½tsp
serve with steam rice

In Malabar or in Kerala, fish is never fried and put in curry…this is more like Bengali style

wanted to ask the same thing, but I guess in this recipe the raw mango is used i.s.o. the tamarind. (sour taste). Since I do not have raw mango where I live, but I do have tamarind, I am going to use that,
