Departing runway 13 at night from Malaga (AGP - LEMG). We were initially given the Bailen (BLN2C) however once we had started to get above the MSA ATC started to give us a turn to the right towards Granada.
Filmed using a GoPro Hero 3

Finally a 737 video about the takeoff, where you can see the whole thing in detail: PFD, AP, flaps settings, etc... Thank you!

Your videos are great Alex. I did a lot of flying out of Malaga and will be doing my 737 TR soon. Keep up the good videos, I'm enjoying them.

another request :) : PFD view + yoke ( trim switch view) for a take off and landing ( especially for a manual one) I would like to see when how often you use the trim switch and try to replicate with the pmdg NGX :)

Does the Baro minimum setting reflect the acceleration height?
@chrisnelson6198
@chrisnelson6198 9 лет назад
In this case it does, its the point at which we transition from the second segment to the third segment of the climb takeoff/climb process. At this airport we can also use it as a minimum altitude for cleaning up the aircraft if we were to have an engine failure. At some airports this maybe higher due to terrain

Alex Wings I understand. By the way do you set V2 at the MCP before takeoff or V2+x ?
@chrisnelson6198

V2 is set before take off. We calculate this based on aircraft weight and current conditions at the field. This is the speed at which we will fly in the event of an engine failure. As a side not the Flight director system may give us a different speed to fly. If the engine failure happens below V2 it will give us a pitch command of V2. If it happens between V2 and V2+ 20 then the FD system will give us a pitch for that exact speed when the failure occurs. If it happens above V2 + 20 then the FD system will give us a pitch for V2 +20.

Alex Wings Thanks a lot for the insightful information. I fly the 737 in the simulator and I calculate my V2 speed, then set it on the MCP for take-off. However as soon as I reach the acceleration height I get a flashing "B" (or "A", can't remember exactly right now) on the MCP and suddenly this very V2 speed is in the yellow range of the speed tape. Is this normal on the real airplane? Or does it maybe imply my V2 speed is too low?
