I'm glad you didn't sell your new FR-8x. All I can say now is Wow! It was a great performance. I'm looking forward to more performances with your new V-Accordion.
Great performance, Richard! Enjoyed our Sunday afternoon session - great to compare notes and I really enjoyed playing our 8's together!! Thanks for all your help!!!!!!
Hello Richard Spectacular performance. Wonderful arrangement and ultimate execution. Richard Noel at his best. You breathe Roland V-Accordion at every pore. I think the V-accordion was made just for you, such is the mastery of sounds that strips you of that instrument. OLÉ OLÉ ... ... Best regardings Artur Ferreira
Very thoughtful response, as always. It was definitely a challenging piece to do. There are lots of ways the percussion and voices can be utilized, and others will probably make different choices.
All I can say is WOW! Coming in at age 60 and growing up on the THEN traditional Piano Accordions of the time - The Roland experience could not even have been imagined. Wonderful performance, musicality and use of an incredible instrument! Bravo! :D
Nice Richard, your expression and feeling when you play is unmatched and truly the best I have seen. Guitar sounds great and the man's voice at the end was a nice touch. I see your user program development is progressing nicely. Looking forward to purchasing them when they are ready. Great performance as always!
100% agree with Artur Ferreira! (and all other's!) This is a top class performance Richard, the dynamics so nicely controlled, the lingering notes, the suspense, I think this is one of your best. ********** Mike
Thanks for the comments. Still working on the user programs, and will probably do a few demo videos as soon as I have a chance, to show how they are structured.
Love all your videos. You inspired me to buy an Fr7 a couple years ago. It had been awhile, but the silent practice allowed for my wife's sanity (After an hour she couldn't take anymore, and would ask me to stop when I played acoustic, whats a good husband to do? so i didn't play much). So after twentyfive years I've picked it up again, . Learned indifference song quickly, you inspired me so....thank you Richard Bravisimo
Terrific job Richard. I really liked those voices attached to the chords in the left hand. A little imagination can find good uses for those less conventional sounds. Keep up the good work. I had the 8X to prep for a demo and had a slow start, but things picked up after understanding how the new user programs and sets work. It took me awhile to realize it's just like my piano. I heard a lot of great comments about you from the attendees at my demo. Maybe I should buy one.....?
Don, For a lot of what I play, I don't think you could tell the 8x from the 7x, but there are some things that the 8x will be able to do better. You would make the percussion come alive. Programming User Programs is enormously time-consuming, at least for me, and I thought I knew these v-accordions very well. It is just an extremely tedious process to program, name, and tweak numerous user programs. Email me at bakersfieldaccordion@gmail.com and we can talk. Thanks for your comments.
Richard, Sorry for the delayed congratulations. Wonderfully done. Whose voice is it at the beginning and the end? Unfortunately, this is the only Lecuona composition commonly played. He had a large number of compositions, and Malaguena in my opinion is not characteristic of much of his other work which also deserves to be played.
Thanks, Ian. I don't have any of Lecuona's compositions, unfortunately. The voices are those from the 8x percussion section. Depending on what percussion set is selected there can be a multitude of voices along with percussion sounds.
Absolutely perfect !! Thanks for sharing. Do you .have you try to play this song on simple (not electronic ) accordion ? Do you have play "Malaguena salerosa " please ?
