Malaysia Airlines A330 Business Class 4K - Adelaide to KL in the Throne seat. 

I think there is a good time ahead for MH when the new aircrafts A330neo and B737 max start to come in next year. They could not replace their aircrafts earlier because of the loses they have suffered for the last decade or so. COVIC actually helps them in getting a big haircut in debt that allows them to get rid of A380s. The A380s has bogged them down financially for a long time and since there is no second hand market for the planes, they really suffered. MH has just announced a first profitable quarter in a long time.

I used to think SQ was the pinnacle. Have flown with SQ recently in business and economy. The standards have fallen.

This is what people should remember when comparing MH and SQ. MH cannot charge as high as SQ, so do not expect the same level of everything.

Singapore was Malaysia before they separated after independence, Just like Pakistan and Bangladesh were India before the independence from the British Empire.

I expect KLIA are looking for a replacement train but who knows how long it will take to get that sorted. After 23yrs you would have thought they'd plan for it's replacement.

KLIA is replacing the whole train system with a new one and if I am not mistaken, will be up and running by 2025. It should have been done when the airport was mostly closed during COVIC. Very poor management decision.

Yes I moved seats for the meal as the crap headphones squealed in the throne seat and also in the second seat and with 2 different sets of the provided headphones. Both failed. So lucky I had my own headphones to use.

The only oneworld lounge in Adelaide is the Qantas domestic lounge that’s overdue for a refurb that’s coming later this year I think.

The throne seats are the single seats on the right-hand side of the aircraft being 1K, 4K and 6K. They have large armrests on both sides, so you are protected from aisle traffic and have some extra surfaces to put your stuff. However, you are little bit further away from the window compared to 1A, 4A and 6A and the footwell is smaller than the other seats. Personally, if travelling alone I would go for 1A, 4A or 6A.

I never choose row one on any aircraft if I can help it as there’s no cabin view. You have a blank wall in front of you and on many aircraft there’s less leg room.

MH Business passengers can use the Qantas lounge but that is on the land side before you go through to the international section of the terminal.
