Your comments about Japanese players were so interesting that I became your fan. I am Japanese. I also know information about Japanese players that is difficult to obtain from overseas. I will comment again.
Seeing your match with Ginting, please, AA, do you think Ginting hit those net tumbling shots on purpose?? Because dear God, he did that soo many times it's almost impossible 😂 Also really nice seeing you on back on court again! Good luck to you both for India Open, and Happy Birthday om Hans!
Guys, it's so nice that you are recording together again. I have to say the couple last episodes did not have the best audio quality (I like to listen on Spotify as well). Just saying, no hate. Still love the podcast, the topics are interesting and informartive as ever. I get that it's difficult since you guys are in a long distance relationship now 😁 but yeaa homework.. something to think about and work on 😊❤ Luv this new episode.. good luck on India Open 👍🏻
Thanks! No offence taken at all. We appreciate all the feedback and agree it would be good to find better solutions for the audio. Hopefully we can begin to make just a bit of income from the podcast, so we can upgrade some of the equipment quality 🙏🏻
@@TheBadmintonExperience is it not possible to still use the mics that you have been using? Like plug it in while you're video calling? I don't know tho, not a techie 😅
Guys what do you think about the fixture specially for men's singles it's the same for many people such as Lakshya Sen and Prannoy for example. They have been meeting in the first round for many tournaments now. Should BWF rethink how they make the draw?
Is the indoor drift related to the outdoor temperature affecting the set point(s) for air conditioning control? I looked up the daily high temperature for KL and it was 30 C on the 10th (first day) and 32-33 C for the next 4 days. Final day was 31 C. Admittedly not a huge variation, but perhaps enough to have a noticeable impact?
Has this guy been living under a rock? Anders will need to perform at 200% and Victor to be at 60% plus a MIRACLE for Victor to not win. Noone is touching him right now. This is nothing against Anders but he is years away from getting close to Victor. Victor is so far above everyone else that choosing another player to win in MS right now makes you look like a fool.
@@GiverOfFreedom I am no fool here , you are just obsessed and not able to accept that there have been times when many underrated players have defeated Axelsen and nobody asked for what you feel on this statement 🖕
Great episode, good luck this week at the Indian Open guys! HKV... When you are next on court, just think of yourself as Jerry Maguire shouting "SHOW ME THE POINTS!" 💪
I feel that victor is a very emotional player so when his confidence is high like it’s been in the last year or so he will be very hard to beat but I also feel that once the gap between him and the rest of the field shrinks and he losses some matches, doubt will start to enter his head and we will see the victor of 3 years ago lose repeatedly to the same players over and over again.
I think you underestimate him. The only players he ever really struggled with were Lee Chong Wei and Momota. Since he lost to them he improved his game tremendously. What beats him in the future will probably be the improvement of the others and him slowing down. And even then he will be a solid player with good fundamentals, just a little less explosive
@@ohgin12345 I believe BWF and tournament organizers take feedback from the players (as Hans mentioned that BWF asked his opinion during Rio Olympics).
Please Anders , buy DJI MIC you have a transmitter and (two mic receiver ) you can plug to either your camera or phone. And it's wireless its perfect for vlog or even stuff like that , good sound + options (recording). its very small (with charger case ) last 8 hours, cheaper than rode wireless go II and way more convenient (too plug on phone per example)
Hans if you were 25 again do you think you could've done anything better related to badminton or physical fitness or other things related to it or anything that makes you regret right now that u should've done it?
Really hoping Vittinghus pick up a win or 2 in India. I want to see him at the all England. Unfortunately he'll be playing NTY in the first round in Indonesia. And I'm never not going to be supporting a Malaysian Hahaha. All the best Vittinghus, hope you do well in India!!
Just checked your merge and it's really simple yet elegant✨. Good luck for Indian open. Antonsen looks 10 years younger after the haircut i feel he's going to have a great comeback.
Congratulations on your performance in Malaysian open. You did well against ginting. Vittinghaus. Congrats for your performance against Chico and syq previously And of course Christie
Dont get me wrong, axelsen is a beast. He truly is on his own level. But i think axelsen is also lucky for not having a true nemesis at this moment. Like once upon a time the rivalary between LCW and Lin Dan. And to some degree Hidayat. Or Nadal and Federer and even Djokovic. Messi and Ronaldo. You get my point. Momota supposedly was that guy. But he is not the same after his accident. And I think that is a major factor for axelsen for winning so many tournaments.
Fun fact: All the top ranking players (BWF World Rankings as of January 10, 2023) were the winners of their respective desciplines during Malaysia Open 2023.
I believe to be great, you need a great competitor. Sort of like Messi vs Ronaldo, Nadal vs Federer, Lindan vs LCW. For MS now, it is just plain boring as a spectator to watch. I personally avoid watching any matches that Axelsen plays until there is a great competitor (it is obviously NOT Axelsen fault). What do you think about this?
Totally agree. Axelsen is stable compared to other MS at the moment, but it is hard to say whether he is just strong or the others are unstable.... Definely is a bit boring with MS now compared to for example the mixed double category at the moment.. Hope it will change soon J
love the frank, free-ranging discussion. i know you guys focus on men's singles, but these talks would have wider appeal if you spent say, half the time on men's singles and the other half on the other 4 disciplines. e.g., yamaguchi's final against an sy demonstrated once again how she is physically dominating the court, aside from awesome retrieval and technical skills, she is exploiting her physical and mental toughness to grind extremely skilled opponents into exhaustion. i'd be interested to hear if and how you think training has changed over the years, if it has, how much emphasis there is now on pure physicality and conditioning vs. technical skills. i heard lee yondae talking about thsi recently re korea, and he said in the past off-court physical training was extremely grueling and intense, and now that has shifted, and i wonder if you've observed that in denmark or elsewhere finally, why is it many danes seem so fluent and comfortable with english? i find both your fluency to be pretty amazing. i know for many europeans it's not a big deal to be fluent in several languages. but i still wonder, how did you learn to speak english so well?
@@henhenhenfu nah, axelsen has been better than axelsen that got defeated by lcw. Lcw said it himself. Lcw said to beat axelsen by making him angry, but now he's more patient.
