(For the entire clip, visit antishostile at / antihostile ) On of the keys of black nationalism is an understanding of who blacks are as a people, which includes their history, their culture, and their heritage dating back to Africa. In this clip, Malcolm X insists upon the importance of self-knowledge for black people.

Malcolm had such a way with words and a special way of getting them across in a way that makes them seem to be the truth. Anyone looking for help on improving their oratory and communication skills needs simply to exhaustively view all of Malcolm's preserved speeches.

I admire Malcolm X for his intelligent and honest way of speaking, and we have to remind ourselves that it was the Nation of Islam who helped him to develop and grow, until he had outgrown them, and he realised there was a wider world. He was never afraid to admit when he was wrong. He was an admirable man!

El Tigre They deceived Malcolm, but what is meant for evil God will use for good. I believe firmly that Malcolm would’ve came to Christ and to believe in him if he were not assassinated. He already believed that the only difference between Islam and Christianity was religion, so I think he had the Holy Spirit convicting him.

"By March 1964, Malcolm X had grown disillusioned with the Nation of Islam and its leader Elijah Muhammad. Expressing many regrets about his time with them, which he had come to regard as largely wasted, he embraced Sunni Islam. After a period of travel in Africa and the Middle East, which included completing the Hajj, he repudiated the Nation of Islam, disavowed racism and founded Muslim Mosque, Inc. and the Organization of Afro-American Unity."

He's absolutely right. But this applies to everyone, regardless of race, who has this "slave mentality" ingrained in them. Whether it's due to trauma, abuse, generational poverty, or some other reason, you can make up your mind to extinguish it and start believing in yourself. Otherwise, you'll be working for someone who's likely not smarter than you, but has a stronger will and more confidence. Worst part: He'll get credit for everything you do.

I think the problem is that people have forgotten that individuals are supposed to continue the fight when leaders in whatever form they come are killed or no longer able to fight or lead. That is the problem with any movement with particularly charismatic leaders. People have to do their part. In the years since Brother Malcom and Dr. Kings assassinations I can't really say people have. But onward.

Never. True knowledge is transcendant and liberates all souls from bondage. Malcolm X is a good example. He knew he was as good as dead but kept it up because he had the knowledge of the TRUTH and the TRUTH sets all slaves free from the shackles of evil. The soul is liberated praise God!The Apostle Paul is a good example. He was imprisoned and yet saw the grace of the good Lord, and MLK while in jail stabbed in the chest wrote one of the most compelling human rights letters of the last century.

The sad part is that you really do have many Tupac idolators, in worshipping his dead memory and so out of touch with reality, who are actually stupid enough to believe this. That he was some omniscient prophet, messiah or he would have been some great black leader. When he was just a rapper who died young, so people want to give him more credit than he deserves. Who wanted to live some asinine "thug life" and he ended up paying for it. To say that he was anything other than this is absurd.

I wonder which economic framework he thought of as not part of the white man. Would it be alternative or would it be based on the same capitalist principles. @Dktunder14 I'm sorry to hear that. The 60's was the best decade for the civil rights movement and they had a mandate from the people to change things...and they did. But it was still not enough. Perhaps someday, another leader can help your people rise up and overthrow their ignorance again...overthrow the lil wayne wannabes and prison culture mentality that is all too pervasive in america. There is so much that has been wasted.
