The transformation of Papilio memnon (Great Mormon) from caterpillar to butterfly (Male).
Host plants: Kaffir Lime (Citrus hystrix), Key Lime (Citrus aurantiifolia), Nagami Kumquat (Citrus margarita), Pomelo (Citrus maxima), etc.
- I raised the caterpillar in a small container.
- When the caterpillar has fully reached its length and weight, it will form into a chrysalis.
- Pupation takes approximately 15 hours after the caterpillar hangs its body with a silk pad and a silk girdle.
- The chrysalis stage lasts about 12-14 days to become a butterfly. It depends on environmental factors such as climate.
