One of the few times where Gideon can truly shine. Shoutout to my boys Vyke Juno nad Bernal they did amazing.

it's interesting how... Decisive, all of the rounds are. Like there's never a round where its really down to the wire, where you've got like ~1-2 people on each side slugging it out at the end and its anyone's game, there's no amazing comebacks like with some of the Army Fights. Each time a side wins they win hard by focusing on killing just a few early and then everything just snowballs from there and by the time its winding down and usually even earlier its obvious which side is going to win. I think this also does a good job of showing just how useless Armor has become in the Souls Games, because the Armor disparity between the teams is comical. The Gal's side has 2 characters with medium armor, Nepheli and Eleonora, and literally every single other character is in light or ultra-light clothing, while the Dude's side is mostly Medium or Heavy Armor with a few Robes and then some Super-Heavy Tanks. And yet that armor does basically nothing. It doesn't help them avoid getting stunlocked, it doesn't help them resist damage to any notable extent. I suppose perhaps the armor might be what explains why the Gal's victories take a lot longer to actually happen in the earlier rounds, but that could also be stat disparities because that difference in victory time disappears in the equal rounds. As much as I think the existence of His Immenseness, Terrible be His Name, He of the Well What is It, Giant Dad, in DS1 was a sign of the flaws of DS1's Matchmaking not taking into account items and their upgrades, I do miss when Armor was actually a major thing, because that's how it should be. Armor should be a major factor. There's a reason Armor was Used in Real Life after all.

As interesting as this is, this sadly doesn't provide conclusive data about NPC strengths, mostly due to the absolute jank that is target priority. We really can't say which NPCs are stronger if as many as 4 or 5 at a time on any given team are spam rolling from nothing, or attacking nothing.

I like to think this is just something they do for fun occasionally

I don't know if you take suggestions, but I think a "Can any Army survive the Elden Lord Duo (Radagon + Godfrey)" would be pretty cool.

honestly it would be interesting to come across smaller scale stuff like this just in the game world. Like a random 4v4 of player npc's with weird builds and it's just a weird thing that you see sometimes. Maybe the idea being you try to sneak around it, pick a side, or just loot the corpses. Or it's just there for the sake of chaos

I expected a very one sided round, with the fact that gideon and vyke are standalone bosses and bernahl tends to do really well especially in NPC battles with multiple opponents. Needless to say, battles were far more "balanced" with the nepheli and each sister being kind of a power house.

I would not have expected the female npcs to stand a chance considering Gideon is a boss and he can lower the resistances of every enemy.

I think it really came down to weapons, both have evenly leveled npcs but the females have way better weapons. Gideon is just OP tho, especially if he had his boss stats

Does it seem most NPCs wear cloth and that most weapons do slashing? If this is the case, what really affects the characters the most? Magic and status? Do the men have less magic and status damage thus they win less?

This whole thing is kind of fucked from the start the team composition is actual shit there are like 4 mages on the male team 1 of them being good but only to the extent that gideon knows like evry spell but doesnt have one focus compared to a team of half magice damge and then dex build's with spammy weapons its like the saying dont bring a knife to a gun fight but here the people with guns got a couple with knives to stab them while they get shot it just bugged the male npcs and made them spam roll constantly trying to avoid melee and spells just to finally get caught and stunlocked vyke could solo in the lore anyday vision or blind without lightning its raps

Team battle? Women already have Nepheli loux and Millicent, who are basically as strong as a late game boss. As strong as Bernahl is, his AI is kind of garbage. I don’t think this will end well for the men. Feels like a rigged fight.
