The Malenia boss fight at last!! This boss fight is probably the most difficult boss for me out of all the Fromsoft games! And yes I did use Rivers of Blood, so if you came here to complain about that, kindly keep your opinion to yourself 😂

"She's still wearing her weird boot toe things." Those are actually prosthetics, like her arm. Malenia has no legs, 1 arm, and is blind. Due to the scarlet rot.

I remember when the story trailer came out I was really curious what Malenia said to Radahn as she was about to nuke him with rot. After all our attempts against her I think we know all too well what she said to him. “I am Malenia, blade of Miquella.”

Actually there were some item description that was left out of the game but recovered by data miners that aluded to Malenia's words to Radahn either before or at the end of the battle. I can't remember the exact item, something to do with a knight that was in the battle, but according to it her words were something close to: "LOL, get wrecked noob."

She said "please don't kill me" because Radahn BODIED her in their fight. Her scarlot rot nuke is the only reason she survived and even then, it served as a distraction so she could escape. Malenia bodies everybody......except Radahn. man lost his feet to rot and still held up the stars in the sky

Even let me solo her admittedly said it took him close to 300 Deaths to get to the point of defeating her. After you think learn her moves, you see another switch in her design. Ever so subtle and yet ever so lethal. Definitely the most difficult Fromsoft boss. She makes Sekiro feel like Kingdom Hearts. She makes Gael feel like defeating Bowser in Smash bros lol. It took me an hour and a half non stop to defeat this woman and it wasn’t pretty. With a gnarly blood build with the Nagakiba, I finally took her down with just an inch of health left. Without shame, I used my mimic tear in NG+ and ended her the very 1st try which felt far less satisfying. NG+2 it’s just me and her again. But Kudos to all who defeated this wild and rotted, nude ass super sword-stress. She’s the definition of “Get Gud” and she’ll haunt our dreams for all of eternity.

Well actually she has known defeat because she literally just lost to Radahn. She is recovering from that fight when you as the player enters the boss arena. Her knights had to carry her back to the haligtree. This is not malenia in her most powerful state.

Malenia, Blade of Miquella, the strongest boss in Elden Ring who never knew defeat, had made many people cry 😂 It was a hard fought battle but the extreme satisfaction that came with the final victory made it all worthwhile. 👍

Holy moly. Malenia literally bugged out with her thrust attack in 1:47:12. She barely moved an inch and Alyska panic rolled so if she actually didnt bugged out there, she would be dead :D

The opposite happened to me. When I first got her to phase 2, I died but she was so low, my summon Tiche killed her right after I died. I was hoping the fog would disappear but no, I died first.

This happened to me during Mohg's fight. While I celebrated hard after finally beating him solo after around 2 1/2hours, the blood flames killed me (surely around 2seconds after him) and it really didnt count as a win - that was soul crushing.

@592Johno when she starts wfd start running straight back from her for the first two and you will out distance them but the third teleports her directly on top of you so after the second get ready to roll straight away from her at the right time then roll again for the aoe and you will dodge it

After watching several streams of this game and seeing how people pretty much just run through them, I can see why it only takes them like 80 hours or so to beat it. My first playthrough was like 390 hours long. To me, there are no optional bosses, optional enemies, or optional loot. Everyone dies every time..... Or more than likely I do.

The coolest thing about her imo. I love how masterfully she uses the prosthetic too, shortening it AND extending it at will in the middle of a fight. At 36:58 during that "slash flurry" for example, u can hear her shorten it before slashing, then making it longer again for the finisher. Even cooler when u remember that her blade is actually ATTACHED to her prosthetic hand

Really nice job with the editing on this, Alyce! I know it must've been a very time-consuming and difficult process. I like that you included your first attempt with all the various subtle changes to your weapons, etc. that you made, was a good editing decision imo, sort of showing that 'journey'. I started replaying Sekiro and god damn it's just as good as it ever was. Don't sleep on the other FromSoft games after you've finished Elden Ring guys the quality does not go down. If anything in some area's it goes up like Sekiro still has the best designed Boss fights of any FromSoft game.

I just square off-ed with straight sword and greatshield my whole game and I was able to posture breat Malenia with one thrust and one slash of the aow. Apart from that Godfrey first try, rada-beast 3 tries. Don't sleep on good old sword and board. Specially since square off thrust does 48 poise damage, even greated than lions claw or gaint hunt

Don't feel bad about using rivers. I used dual occult scavengers with 80 arcane and seppuku. Bled her out right quick. Cheese strats for the win.

I cant believe i watched you play the whole battle but i had to see beat the hardest boss in a video game , you never gave up to your credit and ill bet there are millions who just gave up or avoided Melenia because shes optional, sweet adorable dog , my cat knew better and stayed away when i played , it took me 27 trys to beat her and i used rune arcs , a physick a mimic tear summon and a maxxed out blasphemous blood , i wonder whats in store for us in the upcoming dlc , congratulations , new york

imo this boss is a pretty hard counter to how alyska likes to play. The best way to deal with most her attacks is caution, don't over commit, whe hyper armors the kick and if you get caught at close range by water fowl dance you are goner. with water fowl dance you need to run away from the first one roll back from the second and then roll toward the 3rd otherwise you cop residual attacks

Lvl 155 with only 67 hours in the game??? I had around 130ish when I got to 155 and I didn't even lose many Runes on my journey... What did I do wrong?! Lol

All depends how much you explore. She missed A LOT. I spent around 170 hours in the first playthrough searching every corner and doing everything I could, and I still missed quite a bit.

@@zaug1561 I mean you would think if she missed a lot, she would NOT be at such a high level due to missing out on potential xp sources. I beat the game at lvl 160 after 120 hours and I was pretty meticulous. And I know she did it legit, so i'm very curious what I did wrong as I was playing lmao.

@@freeofgreed Taking your time and exploring is not doing anything wrong. A quick google search tells me the range is between 100-150 hours on average for first playthrough. Your level at the end of the game doesn't indicate how much of the game you've completed. If you spend a lot of time exploring early and mid game, that will only minimally affect your end game level due to diminishing returns on experience. There are a bunch of NPC quests she missed as well as many random dungeons and bosses that if you add in all the search time finding and completing every one, her time would be significantly higher. Being a completionist or just playing through finding what you find on the way are both fine, and neither are wrong or less legitimate.

Rune farm after I beat the game I rune farm for a long time and got to 300 and then began my second journey and got 2x the amount of runes I got before and grinded up to 400 and now I’m at journey 6 at 502 and 40 hours of just grinding

As long as you arent abusing glitches (cheese), every strategy is a viable option. I used burn o' flame with mimic tear and kept her permanently knocked up. Didnt even use a flask the whole fight lol.

Fun fact - the first time I beat Malenia, I actually died the same time she did. But because I died before she "exploded" (I saw her explode into Grace in my death screen) I didn't get credit for the kill ... and I had to kill her again. Congrats!

Those are not her toes. Her leg prosthetics are just modeled after humanoid feet rahter than shoes. The hardest boss in Elden Ring is a blind triple amputee

V I C T O R Y !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what I noticed was that you incorporated a dodge move where you kinda disappear, I believe that gave you an advantage here!! I'm so happy for you, Alyce!! I know this actually happened a good while ago, I never got to see the full fight and victory... this was so worth the wait!!

Malenia was the only boss that caused me real problems, a few too a number of attempts but she took a lot of attempts. In the end I had to do a bit of a respec so I could use a Rivers Of Blood method I saw on YT.

Wow, 1:10:30 onwards are some amazingly haunting 'gazed too long into the abyss and lost all hope and joy in life' expressions. Kinda thing you only see on the face of war veterans who have seen some serious Heart of Darkness shit. But eh, you got there in the end so congratulations!
