Hello! Here is the HOT WAVE interview of MALICE MIZER about the single Beast of Blood, with a live performance at the end, recorded on SHOCK WAVE ILLUSION 2001. This interview was broadcasted on 4 seperate dates / parts, and I glued them all together, and restored and enhanced the quality of the video. It's still low quality, but that's normal for TV recordings. It's actually a good quality compared to other ones.
The four parts each had the same ad before and after the interview (about their new singles), so I only showed it once, completely at the beginning, and cut out the other ads so it goes from interview to interview without too much annoyance. Also, the live performance was cut out at the end, so I extended it to finish the song.
If anyone could subtitle it in English, it'd be greatly appreciated!

Best parts: Klaha: "It was Közi :D ." Közi: "It was Yu~ki!" Yu~ki: "It was... It was Mana really!" And where Közi knows JUST what trigger to push and does it in order to make Mana laugh. Mana struggles sooo much! :D

I can clearly see Moi dix Mois vibes in this performance. It was obvious that Mana wanted to show his own artistic concept from that moment, he was tired of playing the colourful and happy theatre.

Wow I totally remember watching this at the time. I was still a little upset about Gackt not being the vocalist anymore but I was warming up to Klara. Nice to see this again!

I liked this iteration of the band. Drawing from gothic and post-punk, the songs and image were darker and less overtly theatrical although they did make mini movies with Klaha as a Dracula/ Lestat character blending different vampires. Their appearance also became more modern with the black suits and punk/goth hair styles as opposed to the 18th Century France look.

The question was "If you could be another member of the band for one day, who would you be?" Mana "says" he can't imagine being anyone but himself. Klaha says since there are three other members and 24 hours in a day, he would like to spend 8 hours as each one. Yu~ki says he would stay as himself even if he were asked to be someone else because it would be hard for him to be another member (I can't tell whether he means the others have harder jobs in the band and his is the easiest or just that it would be hard for him to live another person's life). Ko:zi says he'd like to be Mana because then people would worship him going, "Mana-sama~!" and that's when Mana nearly breaks character.

@@angelurbina8158 Mana-sama has been looking for him too, to no avail. A fan apparently ran into him in 2017 or 2018, but there is no confirmation if the person was actually Klaha or not. I remember hearing rumors that this fan also took pictures with him, but I can never find them, so I write it off as fake news.

@busker0000 Mana doesn't identify as a (trans)woman, he's just a guy who just dresses how he wants hehe. And in Japan at least, crossdressing says nothing about your sexuality. It's true that in the West a lot of drag queens are gay, but it's a different culture there. I can't recall a source, but I think he's straight.
