Interesting indeed

You ever seen how many ducks stay on golf course ponds, park ponds, etc? Ducks, and mallards especially like to be somewhere in the open a lot of the time where they can see something coming from a distance. They have probably been using that pond for a month or more without being messed with and they just feel comfortable there. To just bash a guy and speculate that they were being baited is dumb. Do better. Like minded people that share a love for the outdoors is suppose to be a brotherhood. Not a dang bash fest.

@@hunterbigwood4556 I know exactly what I’m looking at. I’ve probably been killing mallards since before you were born. I’m not going to break down duck behavior for you. If you don’t see the signs, that’s your deal. It’s clear you are a newbie. No waterfowler ever compares a hunting scenario to something they saw on a golf course. Holler back in ten years son.

Been hunting and fishing for everything that moves for 25 years my man. I’m not telling you that you are wrong, I am just saying that it is shitty for you to assume based off of the little that you see in this video that these guys have been baiting these birds. I highly doubt that any of the men in the video would put all of their sponsors in jeopardy to shoot a bunch of ducks over a baited pond.

This pond is drained each spring and over the course of spring and summer natural grasses, and many years planted millet, grows in the pond. Before the season the pond is flooded and ducks find the water that is situated between a big roost and river (a natural flyway). Additionally, this pond is hunted once or twice per year, in this case this was our first hunt. Lastly, if you hunt the Midwest and cattle ponds, you may see that ducks know where they are going and come in with confidence (in this case many!) We appreciate your views!!
