This week's hike took me again around my local area of Spinola Bay and Sliema. This walk was extremely pleasant and I got to see things that I had seen before but it's always nice to see again, like the spinning-water globe. I loved what is placarded underneath with a Native American proverb - We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.🌟
Moving along the promenade to Sliema (which means peace and comfort in Maltese) with its diverse coastline of jagged rock, I got to see an underground area of graffiti. I have always admired graffiti when it is done well and here there was one that I saw last time I was there. I took a photo of it that day as I found such depth in meaning from the artist who by the picture has a huge talent.🎨
Sliema still has that British feel as you move about the place with its few remaining Victorian houses which began development in the second half of the 19th century. Besides this, the British built numerous fortifications on the Sliema peninsula such as Sliema Point Battery, Cambridge Battery and Garden Battery.💂♂️
I finished off by having a look to see if the Cat hotel was back up and running but unfortunately, it's still going under construction. Afterwards, I was then able to sit in my favourite little spot and share some things that were on my mind.
Full moon lurking has that affect on me😅 Have a watch in the video of this week's hike and don't forget if you like this content, please, like, comment and subscribe. Would love to know what you think and I really appreciate the support!
