That bumping that Showtime is doing is normal. Babies do that to their mommas all the time. They are little agreessive eaters. I feel bad for the mamas. Lol. I love it when the donkeys roll around. The dust baths help so much with flies. The baby is so adorable. I hope he becomes friendly.

The donkey will not get more tame without being handled. Just ask Daniel Arms he thought he would give them space and had to really work to get her used to people. I have had a lot of experience with equine and they are a prey animal that will flight when frightened. It is just their nature. Good luck and God bless you in all your endeavors 💖

I have my chickens in a kennel like yours. I put chicken wire about 2 feet up all the way around to keep the chicks inside.

Horses can get the same problem, as we had a racehorse that everytime he raced,or got nervous his stomach would act up. And if you don't put a towel under his harness piece, or if he was nervous he had the runs bad. I know the feeling with your hair. It's so hot, and humid in Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦. It was close to 95f, and over 100f with the humidity. My hair is a like yours with the humidity. If it doesn't cool down soon, I'm going to cut my hair like Brandon's. 😂. My hair is black, and Grey, and very thick. It's 3/4 down my back. Be careful with giving Showtime any sweet feed, as it can cause stomach problems, as it's classified as a hot food. The raw egg in showtimes bottle will actually help her put weight back on!

You need to wash her but and get her cleaned up. She will feel better. Maybe if you give her half of bottle of water after she eats it will give her the liquid she needs in her system. I think you are doing a good job with her since she was so young when you bought her.

Stephanie your baby Llama won't start drinking from a bottle you need to put it in the goat holder and put a halter on it and start by offering a bit of grain with no other animals around and brush and run your hands all over its coat til the Llama comes to you when you call her...

Stephen, they often take dust baths due to the flies. Another thing to be watching for. At some point in time, "mom" your Jenny, will get old enough to be available to be bred again. (Surprise, but that is already on the "Jack's" mind! Hormones!) When Jack decides that Jr is getting near puberty,,,,daddy Jack will begin treating Jr. as a threat to his breeding time with "woman jenni". Jr may be confused by the treatment he will start getting.

Add a little bit of powdered oatmeal to their bottles or mix it with their grains to help with the scours.

Hope yall have sheared the lamas. I’m worried about them. U will have to feed the donkeys a little grain to get them to come and stay near u for u to be around the babies. If you carry the camera on a tripod or stick that might scare the donkeys, they might think it is a whip. Thinking of reasons they might be camera shy, or it could just be because of the baby. The baby donkey is sweet. You might be able to get the calf scour med at Tractor Supply, it used to be a big pill but most calves will just suck it down.

What chickens do you use to lay eggs for cooking? I mean surely you are not spending the store prices for eggs now a days having your own farm and all, those store prices for eggs are crazy anymore.

Would it be reasonable to put some electric wire/fence in the back and where the predators slip in? I know you can't put it around the whole homestead, but in parts where they get in, and alternate which section is on.

Take a towel with you to clean your hands, just to save your skin. Also, some animals just have funky eyes. Our cat had a continuing issue with her eye, and when she gets a runny eye, we apply the ointment. You are so patient with the animals, thank you for sharing.
