Looks like a nice smooth batter. Someone told me once, that if you cut off the ends of the potatoes, that cuts down on strings. Haven’t tried it , yet. You’re doing well, by prepping before time. This is great. And, you’re showing us, you have the stamina to do what you have to do. Stay blessed!

Hello Mrs.Peppi when I cook sweet potatoes I washed and I bake my potatoes in the oven I don’t boiled them if you get a chance please try to baking in the oven it takes about less than the time you do baking on 400 in the oven

Mrs Peggy you were speaking about making things easier on yourself so you could continue doing things that you want to do. I have reached that point in my life also. I have a trick that is a great saver for your back. When you have a big heavy pot of water that needs to be moved from the sink to the stove here is a good thing for you to. Put a little bit of water in your pot so it is not heavy and move it to the stove top. Take a plastic pitcher and transfer the rest of the water in the pitcher until you have filled your pot. This keeps you from lifting a big heavy pot of water.❤️❤️

I just think the sweet potatoes are best int the Fall and don’t require much sugar as any other time plus I bake my sweet potatoes like my grandmother taught me they have a totally different taste no water and it brings the natural sugar out in them requiring less sugar as well!

Hey Cynthia! By the Grace of Gid I am able to continue cooking, however I have to really pace myself by taking frequent breaks and not lifting anything heavy! I am thankful. My children love sweet potato pies, banana pudding and chew bread this time of the year. I rarely bake cookies💝🌲
Well we all have our own way of making Sweet Potato Pie. But Ladies lets get back to basics of the pie. 1 kind of sugar 1kind of milk1 cup 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/2 nutmeg 1 stick butter . Destring with your sugar only this will get strings out easier and quicker. Slowly add whole milk will control your volume of your pie.2 Eggs will give the pie the smoothness. 2/9inch deep dish @325. This is my technic since 1977 . May God Be with us.
Hi Denise! The difference between yams and sweet potatoes is mainly the skin texture And the color inside. Depending on on where you live, you will Probably only see Light too bright orange color, which are yams and the white and purple are yams. To me they taste basically the same . So color and texture are the main 2 differences. Of course a good recipe brings out the best flavor!💝 Happy Thanksgiving!💝
Watch your voice you might just loose it. I speak very low no matter what zoom microphone my pitch remains the same. There are reasons you not to be mindful before you say some. I am really being nice to you because I been tolf that by people who have some mental deficiency but they kept nailing me fot my very low voice. My hands were peeling off skin so I had to wear gloves to avoid people asking me questions or saying damn!!! This man at church of all the people felt like he had to ask me. Just like some people say my mama add this and that and that is true. But somebody don't have a mama. I no you did not say it's not your fault. If you did take that back. One guy lost his mama and I told his friends lets go and support him and they refused. It did not take long all three of them lost their loved once and they looked at me like I would say something to ease their pain. I became like Saint Peter.
