Mama Yergue Barry 

Mama Yergue Barry is a blind Fulbé singer and a gawlo (the Fulbé equivalent of the Manden “griot”). His instrument is the laala, a traditional percussion instrument comprising of several round wooden discs attached to a curved piece of wood. It's effect is not dissimilar to castanets. Marvellous music from the Fouta Djallon region!
