Them performing here is the reason I decided to enter the farm. Only a few idol group joined this competition before like 2016 those years and they did an amazing performance every time. They even won which I think the first girl group who won in this show. Who wouldn't become a fan? They are just built different. Sooo different!

Besides the audience losing their shit the other people seen during Wonderful Confession were MMM's competitors in that episode and the guy who originally did the song. He was grooving along while the other competitors were fangirling over MMM lol. Immortal Songs often pays tribute to an older artist with the competitors doing their own versions of his or her classic (immortal) songs and this show honored singer-songwriter Yoon Soo Il. Kpop idols rarely appeared on the show and usually didn't fare well in the competition when they did. MMM was the first girl group to win an episode of Immortal Songs and the first idol group of either gender to score multiple wins. I heard there was some grumbling over Mamamoo being invited to such a prestigious competition show when they were still rookies but they quickly earned the respect of their seniors and were invited back over and over. And just as quickly they earned a rep as the monster rookies nobody wanted to go up against. The audience votes after each song and the performer with the higher score sticks around in the wings until someone outscores them so it's a series of one on one battles until everyone has performed.

You UNLOCKED a core memory of mine growing up, driving around with "B*Witched" in the tape player of the car SCREAMING at the top of my lungs: "SAY YOU WILL, SAY YOU WON'T, SAY YOU'LL DO WHAT I DON'T, SAY YOU'RE TRUE, SAY TO ME... C'EST LA VIE"...... oh! I haven't listened in forever! It is a very competitive show. With some the best vocalist in SK, no matter the genre. The gentleman with the glasses and nodding along is the original artist of the song they are "recreating", right in front of him which is another set of nerves. The audience votes and they find out almost immediately if they accumulated more votes than the previous person that had the highest during that show. MMM have won it 3 times.

Immortal Songs IS A competition show. What cracks me up is some of my favorites weren't even the episode winners. There are sooo many AMAZING Korean singers. Can you imagine arrogant American singers competing like this?

As everyone else has said theyve been invited to this show 13 times and won 3. Each performance is suuuperb!! So only winning 3 means you know standards are hiiiigh high on the show (also performing near the end helps too lol) Everytime someone reacts to one of their performances i always end up going back to binge the episodes 😂😂 Im moomoo to the bone but some of the other artists Ive discovered on this show are amazing!!

seems no one has explained the format of this incredible show just of yet, so just thought i'd give you some context. IS is a competition show. they invite a veteran singer, and every participant of the show (soloist, or group) performs their rendition of something out of the veteran's discography. which means what you're hearing being performed on this show is music from 20 - 30 years ago. mamamoo owes a lot of their early exposure to this show and is what really cemented their reputations as vocal queens. people were critiquing mamamoo for first participating on the show 6 months into their debut, as they were considered a rookie girl group and it's a show that mostly saw seasoned soloists. of course, they've gone on to win multiple times, and as far as i know, is the only girl group to have ever accomplished this in the history of the show.

Funfact on Queendom, when the other groups were asked who they don’t want to be in the competition the most, they said Mamamoo (Mamamoo was supper chilled though, they were even forgot that they won a special effect price in that competition and didn’t use it at all😂)

You're right, Immortal Song performances usually do get blocked. Maybe because you paused so much? KBS used to have all of the Immortal Song complete shows on You Tube. It is a competition and the cut away shots were often other acts in the waiting room watching the performance.
