Mamamoo Reaction - Viewer Suggested Videos Pt 1 

funfact: the stage outfits that you saw them wear in the Um Oh Ah Yeh complication video (the adlibs video) are actually designed by Moomoos. Moomoos draw the designs of those outfits and sent it to them, they have the outfits made exactly according to those drawing from fans and wore them on different broadcasts. You can still find the original fan art designs of those outfits on google today. (It’s also one of their methods to save money on hiring a professional stylist I guess).

Someone steered you wrong about the .5 X 2 dance vid. They danced in slo mo with the music slowed to half speed and then sped up the video footage X2 to match the normal time of the music. This whole reaction is a collection of Only Mamamoo moments lol.

It was in the early days of Mamamoo when they were still struggling to get recognition that Solar came up with the idea of incorporating ad libs into their songs. It made them highly popular on college campuses because the students could be sure Mamamoo would include the name of the school in one of their songs. They quickly shot up to the second most requested group on college campuses, after one of the boy groups. At one point, Mamamoo was doing as many as four appearances in a single day, from big colleges to small malls. They paid off their trainee expenses in 18 months, a record at the time. Depending on how you feel about shipping real people, I recommend either MoonSun on Crack by Tomiskus or The Gayest Things That Mamamoo Ever Did by Moomoo Once. The latter is self-explanatory, MoonSun is the ship name for the relationship between Moonbyul and Solar. You have your choice of watching one or more of the four short videos or the long compilation version. The first short video is probably the funniest, but it has a LOT of popular music clips that will get a reaction blocked.

Remember when they worked really really hard to get the first win, then that win became really emotional. Seeing how some groups get PAKs, first wins, and millions of albums so easily now makes them less emotional for me. I know that those groups right now went through a lot before debuts, but still...

I have only seen really short snippets about Mamamoo's First Win before now. This is really cool of whoever did the compilation! I am glad for the subtitles and even the information about the 627 Days Since Debut (somebody actually had to count the days to make sure of accuracy for that. They did their homework about it, that's for sure). Awesome! :)

They still have 1 diss song call “sleep in the car” and it is hip hop genre. There is a live performance at mnet for it. The song is in the red moon album. I will like to see your reaction on their weekly idol, there are 3 for it.

Taller Than You never fails to put a dumb cheesy smile on my face lol. I was so surprised when they included it in their setlist when I saw them live a few months ago, it got me so hyped cuz' it's one of my favorite Mamamoo songs! They even did like a 10 min. intermission where they played an animated video story (that they wrote and voice acted) before they came back out on stage with facemasks of each other on and doing a comedy bit in English before going into the remix of Taller Than You. Then it ended with them riffing with the crowd, saying how they can't step off the stage or they'll be the shortest ones in the venue. Never thought I could laugh so much at a concert before! 🤣🤣

Mamamoo, so I always have 2 cents in my pocket! First, I think you mis-spoke about that first video. It's a modified dance performance for You're The Best, not Um Ah Oh Yeh. The adlibs are of course from Um Ah Oh Yeh. With respect to both the adlibs and the group's strong emotional reaction to the first competition show win, remember that they had made essentially no money--despite working their butts off--and were on the verge of giving up before Um Ah Oh Yeh became a hit. The adlibs were a savvy effort to cement their reputation and recognition in their newly widened audience, and the first win, well, must have been a tremendous relief after all their struggles. (Other comments have referenced Sleep In The Car, which was a comment on how hard they worked. You can also find videos of them literally performing on the street and in malls in the early days.) On the adlib theme, I strongly recommend Mamamoo's two performances (2016 and 2017) at the Blue Dragon Awards show, which is for acting awards. For whatever reason, that awards show had previously been a staid affair where the actors sat stony faced during musical performances. Mamamoo was having none of that. (Another fan posted a video years ago, titled 'How Mamamoo Made K-Pop History With an Instant Classic Performance,' making the point of how the awards show had been a graveyard for kpop groups before Mamamoo's appearance. Recommended watching before taking in the full performances.) With respect to other competition show wins, maybe you can find a compilation to safely react to. After Mamamoo gained confidence that they weren't just going to fail, they began naturally to express their unconventional selves following subsequent wins. It's a hoot. Cheers

There are some cool fan cams out there of them covering each others solos in concert. But you might want to wait until you've seen the solo MVs first. :) The music stage wins can be a lot of fun. After the first one they end up doing a lot of things that idols dont do, typically, after a win. :) Along the lines of stuff you wouldnt expect an idol group to do. Hwasa did a cover song called Pink Pant*s and the members participated in the MV. It's posted on their official channel. At the Chicago performance for their recent US Tour. A moomoo brought them some pink pant*s and gave it to them during the show. 🤣

I think they're making rice balls but their song is mostly talking about kimchi fried rice.
