She was the first member to have a #1 hit song as a soloist with Anymore in 2017, a collab with songwriter/producer Jungkey. * As the vocal queens of kpop who always sing live and almost always use hand mics MMM"s choreography is often fairly simple and haters claim they can't dance. Hwasa used to be considered to be MMM's weakest dancer however she won the MAMA solo dance performance award in 2020 for her hit song Maria over nominees like kpop dance legend Taemin of SHINee.

They did do a 'world' tour this year... which wasn't really the world... but they did a bunch of concerts in USA.... it was their first time there... and they had the largest audience for a first tour in the last 20(ish) years for a girl group in USA. They have the 4th largest behind spice girls, TLC and Destiny's child. Some info on the girls.... Moonbyul is the most credited female artist (I don't know if this is just for 3rd gen.. but she has got to be close) Solar has a very successful youtube channel - solarsido Wheein and Hwasa have been best friends since middle school. Wheein has about 12 tatoos. (solar is the only one without a tattoo) Hwasa is the youngest, but probably the most famous, with her solo song Maria - You have probably heard it. All four of them are successful soloists, and are all worth listening to.

Oooh MMM are the premier vocalists of this K-Pop generation. Props to you guys for getting to the more mature side of K-Pop by experiencing the vocal harmonies and incredible breath control unlike any other K-Pop group out there. Moonbyul (rapper) has a superb track called "Eclipse", I highly recommend you guys to check it out.

Mamamoo is extraordinary in vocals, their rapper is one of the best rappers in 3rd gens and Kpop in general but they are also good at dancing. Each member has a different style of dance. I recommend you check out their performance of 'Good Luck' on Queendom or any of their Gogobebe/ Dinga/ Aya/Hip live stages to see their dancing

Fun fact. Mamamoo was told by their company that since they were short (all around 5'3 - 5'4) and not beautiful (Lie - IMHO) that they needed to concentrate on their vocals and performances. They are incredible vocalists and performers.

This is why they are known as the vocal queens of k-pop! Where my Moomoo's at?! Moonbyl wasn't a rapper to begin with. She auditioned as a singer but was forced to by the label. They didn't think her singing was good enough. Fast forward to today, she writes all her own raps and is one of the most credited female artists in k-pop! She even won a competition for singing, proving her naysayers wrong!😄

The MAMAMOO members are among some of the most-credited idols in K-Pop as of early 2023 - Moonbyul actually has the most songwriting credits of all 3rd generation female idols at 115(2nd most credited famale artist overall... Yoon Mirae at 139), since she writes her own raps(and more) in almost all of the group’s songs. As well as contributing to the songwriting in many of them as well. - Solar has 37 credits to her name. She wrote the lyrics and composition for her solo song, “Spit it Out”. Composer on "Honey". - Hwasa has 44 credits. The lyrics to her solo song, “María”, were praised for its inventive and meaningful wordplay.
