This performance as the elder brothers in Jo Jeeta is one of the best portrayals of an elder brother in recent times. For me he was the hero of that movie.

I always thought he was the real hero of Jo Jeeta Wahi Sikandar.. Liked his work and he was definitely good looking than most of the stars in his time..

It's so nice to see that after Tabassum Aunty's sad demise, this show is still being continued by Tabassum Aunty's son. Show must go On. Thanks a ton.

A very nice trivia on the almost forgotton hero ofvtge 90s. The entire nation loved him & admired him after Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar. He could have moved ahead very nicely and easily had he not said NO to the offers that he got after the success of " Jo Jeeta"... Sadly, it took him 5 years to realize his mistake & it was nice that he again started accepting films that were offered to him as supporting actors. Television supported him a lot in his low & dull day, but again he faltered and due to bad company he went into drugs...losing his money, his fame & his family too.... His will power made him bounce back, he settled down & re-married, which I feel that will give him some moral support. Wiahing him the best for hos 3rd innings

I remember in college days girls where crazy for Mamik more than Amir khan. All girls use to say we want a boyfriend like Mamik in 1992-93 after release of JJWS.

I happened to meet Mamik in a Goan beach shack. The guy is just wonderful. His voice and his demeanor is awe inspiring.

You were always radiant with joy and happiness and seeing you helped us forget the suffering of daily life for brief moments throughout the last few decades. You will be sorely missed.

Amitabh played a supporting role in the beginning movies and pretty much looked like one as well until someone changed his persona from that to angry you man; transforming from a shaayar look to a tall dashing personality. Same goes with many. Even folks like Rajesh Khanna and even Raj Kapoor always seemed like supporting actors.
