He was an underrated actor who didn't get roles that matched his persona, unlike SRK. Additionally, his luck led him to excel in another field.

Might be he didn't succeed in Bollywood but his success in business is wonderful . Glad to hear that he is from our state West Bengal and our comrade's grand daughter is his spouse

Very nice episode Hoshang ji. Hats off to you for presenting the stories of lesser known personalities and giving them their due recognition. I feel that Sharad Kapoor's acting abilities did not get utilised fully. In films where he got good roles, his potential was visible. You missed to mention perhaps one of his best roles which was in the film Lakshya with Hrithik Roshan, where he played the character of Major Sengupta. It was a small role in a large ensemble cast containing much more prominent actors, but Sharad's understated and dignified performance still left a deep impression. Wishing him all the very best.

He's not meant for playing movies but he did quite well in some of movies. So God made him success in another profession which was meant for him.

He was a good actor but he sadly chose the wrong films/scripts.

Sharad Kapoor, Nirmal Pandey and Shiney Ahuja . These three actors played hero , Villain , anti hero . They are powerful characters . It becomes very difficult for the director to put them in hero or villain . They have both traits of a hero or villain as an actor . So it is very confusing. With changing scripts and new plots , it is very difficult to get roles .

Dastak movie was ahead of his time.
