Great vid. I rode all over Mammoth a few years back and really had to search for any true single track. I found mostly 2 track but still fun riding.

There is also a good single track trail at Hartley Springs Campground. And Glass Creek Campground is another good spot. The trails in this video are all around town. There are multiple camping sites in town that have trail access. Here is another video showing single track right in town and there is camping all over this area. The majority of the trails you can access from Substation Road which is just off 395/203 intersection. There is also in town past Old Shady Rest Campground. I have another video for that too.

A couple different trails in this video. We start out at the Mammoth single track trail, Trail number 3S128C is the first section of it. Then on to the Mammoth to June Loop which starts right in the town of Mammoth Lakes. We hopped off the Mammoth to June Loop after the creek crossing and went left which takes you up to another creek crossing (same creek) where we go left again and follow that trail up the mountain. I'm going to post the full length trail videos to my other channel, Motor Psycho Sport, so you can watch and skip to see how I got to all these places. Thanks for watching the video! We have another Mammoth video dropping next week!

Are you allowed to ride on the roads in mammoth lakes with OHVs?

No. It has to be a street legal vehicle. The KTM’s we were riding are California plated street legal dirt bikes otherwise known as dual sports.

Technically KTM calls them Enduro bikes but in California we'd call them dual sport because of the license plate. So both I guess! They are both 2012 KTM 500 EXC's that came from the factory with a California license plate.

Throttle Report is that ok to ride a bikes like ktm xcf-w the ones it is not street legal on a short asphalt street like you guys ride? I saw couple people riding even 2 stroke dirtbike (not street legal) on big bear lake streets.

No you can't ride an XCF-W on the street in California without a plate. Technically even crossing the road on a non-plated bike you would need to walk it across the street. I'd say unless it was an emergency situation, it's not worth getting a ticket over. In Mammoth where these trails are, there is a parking lot you can unload your bike at and hit all these trails easily without ever touching the pavement except to cross it and even then, Mammoth has a tunnel they built at one of the main crossings. If you really want to ride the road, get a plated dirt bike and join the fun! - T.R. Catanese for Throttle Report

This seems like the sort of place that if you don't come with someone who knows exactly where they're going you just end up spending the whole day wasting your time on 2track trails bored outta your mind lol.

Ya it has taken us years of adventuring to find the right trails. If I lived there full time, I could probably find them faster. The main single track in this video is a legal trail but it's not marked well at the beginning so kinda difficult to find.
