Hey all, Travis from Mammothor here. Just FYI, I did reach out to John Bush (Armored Saint, ex-Anthrax) about possibly joining me to sing this new version, but he very politely declined, saying that he didn't think he had much he would change from what he did in '98. He did wish us well though and said our exchange inspired him to revisit the original. The song has ALWAYS been an underrated gem, but with Joey back in the band for a decade-plus (and killing it, btw) it's unlikely you'll ever seen John jamming it with them again (but never say never, I guess). Anyhow, hope we did them proud and people re-discover that one along with this one. Win/win for everyone involved.

I love the "Volume 8: The Threat Is Real" Album by Anthrax. It's one of the most underrated Albums ever. There are such great songs on it: "Crush", "Inside Out", "Harm's Way", "Stealing from a Thief". And this cover is actually quite close to the original. Sure, different voice and guitartone, but not that far off.

This is actually the first Anthrax song I ever heard in it's entirety. I remember one of the local radio stations counting down to the debut of the song and then all the backlash that followed in the days and months after lol. I was 14 or 15 at the time, so I didn't know what all the fuss was about with the band having a new singer and sound,

This was a really sneaky good album by Anyhrax. Dimebag cowrote a song on it called Rising Shotgun. Stomp 442 is the name.

This is my first introduction to these Mammothor guys, and I like what I'm hearing on this cover. It does do the song justice and they do make their stamp on the song with the added bass parts. Out of the John Bush era albums, this underrated album is my favorite. I'll definitely be checking out Mammothor's other tunes to see what they are all about.

You should check out nobody knows anything by anthrax. It's a little different sound from them. And the drummer slaps like crazy on that one!

Pretty faithful cover tbh. I still prefer the original vocal, and the original production is a fair bit dirtier which is to my taste. Still, it's a good effort and I wouldn't turn it off if it came on the radio.

Never heard these guys before. Anthrax is one of my favorite bands. This is definitely cool as hell. I can’t say it’s better than the original though.

I'll be honest, I didn't vibe with the Red Blue State (or whatever the other track was called) but this one sounds much better. Maybe because it's a cover? Also, the vocalist sounds so much like Die Krupps' Jurgen Engler. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if they are brothers or something!

Y'all should do "I'm the man" by Anthrax and "bring the noise" their Public Enemy remake/collaboration.

You guys should check out more Ren than Hi Ren. You're sleeping on a truly unique artist. He's got rap songs too. "Illest of our Time", "Animal Flow" and "The Hunger" are all good ones. "Losing It" is a sort of rap/dance beat hybrid. Those are all good options for rap. His "Money Game" trilogy is truly special. I hope you check out more to see the diversity. You have the best musical sense I've seen out of reactors.

Cool reaction, but I still say it's sacrilege when you do a cover over the original first. I think I like the music better on the original, but the singer better on the cover. Both songs rock though.
