A South Florida father accused of fatally shooting a neighbor nearly nine years ago after the victim’s dog was trying to defecate in his son’s yard has been found guilty of second-degree murder and aggravated assault.
Lawyers delay, delay, delay to keep them in the county jail rather than the state prison. If he gets a 15-20 year sentence, he would get credit for the 9 years in county.
@prdamico, Bottom line, there is a two tier justice system. Only way this gets drug out for 9 years is because the guy had ' money 'to hire the kind of legal 'team ' that can do this. Average Joe who does the very same thing and gets a public defender would have already had about 8 years in the state pen under his belt. Average Joe would have spent the first of the 9 years in county jail awaiting trial.
You only hear about the tiny percentage who abuse their right. There’s an estimated 700,000 to one million legal, responsible gun incidents per year in the US, preventing/stopping criminals.
@@ofiasdfnosdf So if the 2A was repealed tomorrow and guns were illegal how many of those "legal, responsible" gun owners would follow the law and turn theirs in? What about you? Would you choose to be a criminal with an illegal gun?
Desatan has the nerve to talk about NY and Chicago shootings. Meanwhile he has his own state with out of control gun violence. The fact that this man loved free as a bird for 9years with charges of murder is mind baffling
This is probably the purest view of why this guy took the matter into his own hand other than him being an idiot. There is a law that people must pick up thier pets crap or face fines. But since law enforcement
How competent is the State of Florida that it takes 9 years for a simple case to go to trial? But we let "them" decide our books, education choices, reproductive rights, and now our food choices. Think long and hard about your candidates in the next few elections...this isn't a football game or beauty pageant. It's our democracy, our lives, and our livelihoods at stake.
