Man assaults family on a walk in Seattle's Wedgewood neighborhood

Seattle Police are investigating after a family was assaulted on a walk in Seattle’s Wedgwood neighborhood Sunday evening.
Those who live nearby and witnessed the attack are shocked it would happen on their typical quiet street.
“That poor family, their whole Sunday changed for the worst,” said Scott Waterman, who lives near where the attack happened.
Waterman said just minutes prior to the family being assault the suspect came to his front door aggressively yelling. He said he feared for his safety and was thankful his children weren’t home.

@@danielbrown3461 Well, unfortunately, the fact that the police are not able to answer your 911 call in seconds is a historical fact. When I asked one of my sheriff friends (over 10 years ago now) that was what he told me. He then advised that my black belt was a good “start” but that I should obtain a concealed weapons permit, arm myself and to not rely on the arrival of police in time. He also told me that it is often a “clean up detail” when they do arrive. I don’t blame the police. I blame politicians. They are the people enabling these jerks.

Unfortunately in this type of city they would arrest and charge and jail the person who is trying to defend themselves against a violent criminal. They even arrest and charge people who step in to defend other people….which is why people have stopped helping others who are being attacked in some way. I've been to the area just twice its a nice area with good people. Suggestion: Get a neighborhood watch going. Keep vigilant, get security cameras & maybe a dog cause they're the best alarm detectors with their sharp hearing. Hate what Seattle has become.

I lived in Seattle, WA from 1989 - to 2003 this type of criminal activity was happening then also, so now people are making out as if the mental health crisis is a new occurrence, its not. This is what happens when people ignore it for years until it gets close to them!!! 😎
