I would play Saka as a left wingback with Trent on the other side, Walker at centre back, Rice and Jude as 8s Foden left 10, Palmer right 10 and Kane up front, with Walker and Guehi at the back it would free up Stones to move into midfield more, Saka is great at skipping past a player and getting a cross in, Spinnazolo did it for Italy and carried them nearly all the way until his bad injury, playing rice further forward also means winning the ball back higher up the pitch, with Trent and Saka launching bombs into the middle for Kane and Jude arriving late we would be unstoppable, unfortunately Southgate will no doubt play with 2 defensive midfielders and 4 at the back because he's unbelievably negative.

I’m a Liverpool fan and love TAA and was backing him in midfield but after these 2 games he’s got to be dropped. Not working at all. I blame Southgate as much as Trent. Playing balls over the top to a sluggish Harry Kane and Foden drifting short was never going to work.

Southgate has brought the criticism on himself by making bad decisions and doubling down on them. The obsession with Phillips, Maguire and Henderson.
