People seriously need to find better things to do. Though, I am looking forward to the new Moonshine smuggling ring coming to a town near you. Visit FireDeptcoffee.com for gear!
My mailman does this same thing. Spends the entire day just cruising up and down the streets. When he can’t find a buyer he’ll just cruise over to the next neighborhood. I watched him once at a house just sitting talking to the homeowner. He wasn’t even pulled up to the mailbox. That’s proof he’s doing more than just delivering the mail!!!!!!!
@@jonathanmerritt3957 I get Amazon packages a lot at the beginning of the month when I get paid. I wonder if the mailman thinks I'm ordering drugs? 🤔🤔🤣🤣🤣
If it makes you feel better, my aunt is a bigwig lawyer and still spent most of her career telling then drive-thru guy "We have got to stop meeting like this..."
They eat there cause its fast food. There is plenty of stories about crews going to "slow food" places, then just have to throw away what they bought cause they got a call.
No one says they are a drug ring, gomer! But we know yall are over worked, over stressed and under paid, and if many of you could quit, you probably would! Doesnt it make sense to have a side hustle? Some people have RU-vid & Tic toc, some have Onlyfans, and some deal drugs (a lot of people deal drugs not just poor black and latino dudes) if you only lived in a community that had issues more serious than jay walking, this would surprise you a little less!
The kids on my high school thought I was gay and cheating on my girlfriend with two boys (my brothers) because I said hi to the girl once in the hallways and handed one of my brothers his lunch which he had forgotten at home. What I’m trying to say, is that high school teenagers are anything BUT reliable.
I had high school kids believing I was gay, because I had my work pants tucked into my socks. I liked them that way because when cutting waist high grass, I didn't want critters climbing up my legs.
As a dispatcher, I hate people like this. Right up there with the time I got a call from someone who wanted to report my officer for speeding on a road. With lights and Sirens! He was mad because "no one is above the law!"
Yet when they need help they'd lose it if the officer said "Well you see sir it took me 35 minutes to get here because speed limit is 35mph through town and wouldn't you know I hit every red light! Just cuz I wear this badge doesn't put me above the law." Uhg! Some people! I'm so sorry you have to deal with them.
I DID call in once and slightly complain about a sheriff's officer doing about 110 mph down a 4 lane freeway weaving through traffic, with NO LIGHTS ON. He blew right past me just as I was getting ready to change lanes, and I almost took him out. My request was that if they were going that fast, that they turn some lights on to warn us! And I let them know I was happy they were doing something very important, but they would have lost if I had completed my lane change.... They had the supervisor call me later, and we had a nice conversation, and I told him I know they have policies and training, and maybe they have found it's safer to go no lights because people are unpredictable when they see lights suddenly, but it needs to be balanced against the risk of someone glancing in the mirror and seeing no one near, and then cutting them off, not expecting a 110 mph car!
And what is funny about that is that if that person actually knew the law they would know that it is actually legal for emergency vehicles to travel above the posted speed limit as long as they have audible and visual (lights and sirens) warnings. Of course they must do so safely but still.
@@inconnu4961 I wasn't complaining about the privileges of others, I was informing the supervisor that one of his men almost died in a fiery crash into the side of a semi truck because he was traveling at extreme speed with no warning lights on to alert of his presence. And I say that as someone who used to drive with lights and sirens and had the evoc training. Zipping past other drivers at more than double their speed is just not safe, and there was no need to do it without lights on, so it was the lack of warning lights that I was alerting them about, not the 110 mile an hour speed, since I am used to law enforcement passing me that fast on the freeway, but not at night with no warning lights weaving through traffic!
As someone who works in transport I can confidently say that about fifty percent of our job is letting the ambulance idle. Regardless of whether or not we're staging for a call
That's how my company started out. 3 calls a day, 12 hour scheduled shift, 3 hours downtime minimum and go EOS at 11 hours. My station manager was the BEST manager I ever had. He looked out for his crews and treated us well while keeping management in check Then the CEO hired a marketing director without hiring more people for more rigs out daily. They had scheduled an additional 30 calls (on top of around 30 plus any ER calls) for no additional crews (15 rigs average) Our calls went from 3 a day to 7! No downtime was allowed. No food break (that became a class action lawsuit), 24 - 48 hour shifts were denied their allocated sleep time (another lawsuit), Dispatch harassed nearly every crew once a day because our customers would call asking why we're late. And we were guaranteed working for 14 hours Out of 12 and dispatch would ask "can you do me a favor and run one more? When my manager quit, everyone at that station quit as well. I know 2 crews that heard he quit and resigned on the spot. 2 of them EOSing themselves and going home mid shift.
Plus, possibly getting a few seconds of sleep before all hell breaks lose. Do you think they'll administer normal saline, or half normal saline to that guy? You know, an EMT once took out their phone and started recording me in public.
When the kids told him, they probably saw him as an idiot and decided to be extremely sarcastic. Hell, back when I was in high school, I would mess with people like this just to see how much you can get their heads to spin.
You fuck with them? I stay the hell away! Don't want crazy motherfuckers thinking I got the inside scoop and always coming to me for another hit of the "truth".
Omg, my boyfriend said that a group of college girls kept his station of firefighters up until 5am on a recent shift by pulling the same fire alarm 3 different times, so they locked them out of their dorms until 530 and went and got donuts afterwards 😂
It's illegal to abuse fire alarms and after the second time of them not learning while attending a place of "higher learning" would get them new room assignments at county lockup.
Yep, done that before. Nothing like emptying a high rise dorm at 2 in the morning on a 20 degree night... Firefighters can take practical jokes to a pure form of art....
In Germany, if you were caught pulling a false alarm with the firefighters then you are fined a 1000 dollars out of pocket per call. Maybe America should do the same?
Investigative journalism is important work too! The guy in this video just needs to start investigating what he is smoking a little more before he starts following ambulances around town.
It's pretty common in many places to see an ambulance "just sitting" somewhere. Here in the Netherlands, ambulances are supposed to arrive on-scene within 15 minutes from the moment someone calls the emergency number in at least 95% of cases. So whenever one or more ambulances are out on a call, it can happen that a certain area falls outside of the maximum response time for the remaining available ambulances. In which case one or more ambulances will take up a position such that they remain able to respond quickly.
There are also transport ambulances with somewhat normal time tables who don't drive with blue lights and sirens bc they dont respond to emergencies (just dialysis, chemo, docs appointments for ppl that need to be carried down stairs or have to be on a stretcher for transport, home/rehab transfers, care facility transfers, hospital transfers, hospital to outside doc transfers e.g. dentist, ...) and get this they don't need to return to any station as long as they are on time at their next pick up location. (I work in transport the amount of times we're just randomly sat on a curb somewhere bc we don't wanna spend the time driving back to station when were already almost at our next pick up place is staggering.) Side hustle exposed or sth I guess🤣 *And no parking at the hospital ambulance entrance is not allowed the space is already cramped af even after they made a separate one for non urgent transport. As soon as you're done you have to leave (if you even still can and no one else parked you in bc there wasnt any space or they cant read and think this is the urgent entrance) Applicable at all hospitals in an about 30 -45 min radius, some further away have a better handle on that but we dont go there as often as its outside our response zone. Technically only one place (pick up or drop off) needs to be in our zone but not many ppl go over an hour away regularly except to see a specialist or for rehab.
yup, our service calls that "post assignments" which we go to an area to wait for our next call. Sometimes we'll hover around that area or get something to eat (that is IF we get to that area at all, we cover alot of ground)
Some departments use computer programs that use algorithms to determine where they should park, to be closest to where accidents will occur, to have the lowest response times.
To add to the ambulance stopping at STOP sign: "or they just don't feel like testing the durability of their vehicle by driving it straight into traffic"
Amazing how many people don't realize that private 911 ambulance companies don't always have stations they can park at located all throughout their coverage area. Some might have to stage, or post up, in parking lots, or on the side of the road. Amazing!
Not even just private ambulances, public 911 ambulances do the same thing. You post up crews around high volume areas and a lot of the time, that's not where the station is. No one looks twice when a police officer is posted in a parking lot somewhere doing paperwork waiting on the inevitable call from one of the nearby neighborhoods. Exact same for ambulance crews.
Amazing how not everybody is an effing genius like you, eh! When can we elect you to be our president? There are lots of things people never consider until it comes up as an isse, say, the media reports another community had an instance where EMTs are misbehaving, so people become hyper vigilant? Naw, lets just make fun of everyone since we consider ourselves the foremost experts on EVERYTHING!

I can empathize with the ambulance's situation. There were nights when our ED was slammed. No way we could clock out and take a lunch break. We'd pool money for pizza. The delivery guy would waltz in with a huge stack of boxes. It attracted attention, especially when whoever worked the front desk took command of that yummy junk food and brought it into the back. It was usually cold by time we stepped into the improvised break room, and the table had partially eaten slices set on paper plates with our names on them. But damn we took heat from it. "You're having a pizza party while we're stuck in the waiting room for hours?!" and "Your staff must be lazy because they sit around eating pizza instead of taking care of my grandma!"
I used to work security in a hospital and we would get this attitude all the time, sometimes from the hospital staff too. I guess taking 10 minutes to get a bite to eat after 10 hours is just being lazy. We are supposed to work our 16 hour shifts with just one 5 minute restroom break lol
@@nephicus339 Your interpretation of your comment: "I'm a bad person" My interpretation of your comment: You have the ideal sense of humour to cope with life in the ED, and I am massively short-staffed. Would you like a job? 🤔🤷♀️ 😂🤣
Yo! I work here dude, but the story is that crew was staging for an assault but got disregarded. My partner said he drives 10 minutes out his way specifically near this guys house and lays on the horn every day after shift.
When I was a paramedic student, we had a bad stabbing. As we were taking guy to the hospital this idiot pulled over to the turn lane and stopped in front of us. So we started to go around him he move into our way. Once we finally passed him, he followed us. I feared that this might have been the guy that stabbed our pt. Once in front of ER, he got out and he was banging on the ambulance with a souvenirs bat. Telling us to get out and we are not above the law. Police arrested dude. It turns out this guy had some road rage. He delayed pt care. It was ridiculous.
He's mad because HE THINKS the ambulance is stepping on his toes. LOL. Smh. This guy is going to try and ruin others jobs because he thinks they're doing something illegal? He should get sued for slander. Going around following an ambulance? He obviously has no proof nor can he get it so he has to do what he's doing.
If that ambulance crew is dealing drugs while he is following them, they suck at it. Not one walk-up customer, not one dead-drop after getting payment electronically... If I was that ambulance crew's pusher/supplier, I'd be beating the tar out of them for being lazy drug-slingers!
@@llllo7287 stepping on someone's toes is an idiom meaning "To insult, offend, or upset one, especially by getting involved in something that is one's responsibility." - Essentially the opposite of minding one's own business or "staying in one's lane".
I mean hey, when Chick-fil-A pays more than private EMS you gotta do what you gotta do. You'll need the medic on board though, otherwise the only drug you're dealing is O2
Our protocol allows us to give way more than just 02 as a basic ;P. Don’t disregard or downplay anyone’s duties in the medical field. It’s disrespectful. SMH.
Gotta love when they throw out "what do I pay taxes for?!" Right before they're reminded we're private not-for-profit and rely on insurance pittance to stay afloat.
Sir, sir as a high school teacher… No one can lie more creatively or gaslight more efficiently than a teenager that got caught. This is 100% the response to “TELL ME WHO YOU GOT THEM FROM”. “the uh…the AMBULANCE” (points to first thing they see) And when they come out with a lie that stupid they go into gaslight mode, quickly realizing this sounds incredibly dumb. They commit enough to win an Oscar. I know this because I was also a teenager before I taught them.
You mean teachers aren't just born as teachers? No way they were ever teenagers and had experiences that can relate to students. Next you're going to tell me they don't live at the school (I've had students who thought I practically lived at school, even where I am now and I'm not teaching)
Years ago, I always seen an ambulance staged at a gas station a mile from where I worked. Well, one day I just so happen to need them and they were there in less than 2 minutes and we were off to the hospital. Damn they were fast and friendly.
This is insane. Plus sketchy (this was pointed out in the comments) that the guy wasn't engaging with the "drug dealing" ambulance, and was a good distance away so it couldn't be considered a crime. He's either done this A LOT or already got cops called on him for doing this. There's a reason you legally can't follow ambulances, cause you're putting peoples lives IN DANGER. This man is gonna get someone killed "yeah sorry we're late. Some maniac was banging on our car door trying to buy drugs and he wouldn't go away"
Why would you deal drugs out of the most noticeable car ever? Its literally designed to be noticeable. Not exactly what you would want to be doing illegal shit in
I wish I had the kind of free time this guy must have. I saw a group of EMTs playing basketball once, but instead of filming them I just kept driving and continued on my day. I'm glad they had something to do while they wait in that area for a call which I'm guessing is what they were doing.
Tks for taking the time to stick up for the private sector. It’s rare that other agencies would do that, even though many in their ranks originated from there🚑💨
Dude! THANK YOU! I knew you’d come through! That AMR agency is pretty much the busiest service in the Metro… and have some great EMTs and Medics killing themselves night and day to keep up with the call volume and still provide outstanding service. Yet… this is the mentality they deal with on the regular. I was there for several years, and am a much better medic because of those same people he’s slandering.
I am extremely familiar with "that area". And technically he is not wrong. Drugs are always dealt around there. There is a High School just out of the picture that shows Cargo Largo. And an area that generates a lot of calls just to the left of that same picture. Throw a rock in any good sized town and drugs have been dealt there. That said, he sounds like an idiot that has no idea how EMS works.
@@chocolatefrenzieya until they try to compensate for not having enough cars for proper coverage by keeping them moving around all the time, and spend more in fuel and wear than it would have cost them to pay well enough to have enough cars.
Surprisingly, this is on par with some of the crazy things I’ve heard customers saying while waiting in line at work, making idle chitchat about rumors. It doesn’t help that the fire department is called a few times a day across the road, and everyone has to gawk. Unfortunately they are called because of overdoses or possible overdoses behind the liquor store and/or the gas station.
Nurse here, I deal drugs in the hospital, all my patients get something for their fix. This guy in a white coat gives the orders and I deal the drugs. There is even a special room where more white coat people handle the drugs, the code name for this place is "the pharmacy".

On the flip side, with the shit wages private ambulance companies pay, I wouldn't be surprised at all if they were "supplementing" their income by selling drugs. Not saying that's what they're doing here, but they NEED to be paid more.

Where I live now, our city is SO TINY, any first responder can be anywhere in it within two minutes, so the ambulance crews stay at the fire station and the police station (opposite sides of the city). Where I used to live, the city is plenty large enough that they have ambulance crews posted in many locations, and since that city also has a lot of coffee shops (not Seattle, not even Washington), the crews do get to run in and get themselves coffee while between calls. It's such a busy city, though, they don't get to run in very often. I worked at the hospital in the ICU for 18 years, and man, the ambulance crews were never idle for long!

If we ever see an ambulance parked at a fast food place my dad is like “someone’s working hard🙄” I’m like “yeah. They’re eating lunch. It’s a thing humans do”
I live across the street from a park with tennis courts and basketball courts. I've watch the local ambulance people play the local firefighters on the courts (I can tell because the first time I saw this, I thought someone was dying while the courts were burning down - they park between my house and the courts, legally of course). Took me a while to figure out it was their lunch break because they are only out there for an hour or less. One time I watched them get a call because they all just stopped what they were doing, waved to each other, and loaded up and left. Didn't even look annoyed. I love seeing these 2 crews in my neighborhood, obviously they are friends.
Thanks for supporting AMR. In San Bernardino we didn't have comfort stations so we were definitely shoveling gas station burritos down our gullet lol. Also I've been so tired at the end of 1 shift I was waiting for the stop sign to turn green. Even my medic was waiting too lol.
i think this guy thinks everytime an ambulance s requested EMT's need to slide down some kind of pipe and drive off. He thinks ambelances should be at HQ.

No. It’s a Type II Ambulance, the kind that are used all over North America. These are used primarily in metro and urban areas because they handle, brake, and accelerate better. Being AMR it’s probably a Leader Ambulance, but what do I know.
