I lived through that, I married my HS sweetheart who after I caught her cheating, told me on the way out the door that she was only with me until she found better. Fast forward to the last conversation after the divorce was finalized and she's crying to me on the phone about how Chad lied to her, she didn't love him, he had a kid that he had full custody of and made her watch the kid, that she didn't want to play mommy to someone else's kid who didn't like her, and worst of all she was now trapped because she was pregnant. Then literally two minutes after that bombshell she tells me she wants to try our marriage again. I have to admit, it was pretty satisfying to laugh at her desperation at that point. I actually thanked her for cheating on me when she did and not a year later when I was earning almost 4x as much in the civilian world as when I kicked her out, still in the military at the time. I asked her if her friends had told her about my new Corvette and my very hot 20 year-old girlfriend I took to my 10hr HS reunion that she never made it to, then asked her if she thought I'd give that up to raise my wife's kid with another man. Finally, I told her she'd have to lay in the bed she made. I listened to her sobbing she was sorry as I hung up the phone. I never heard from her again after that. I did hear from mutual friends that she married Chad after that but it didn't even last three years. She ended up marrying him because she couldn't make it on her own. Then I heard she ended up marrying another guy she cheated on Chad with, while she was cheating on me with Chad. Jerry Springer type stuff here. People suck in general, but sometimes karma really lets them know it.
