Homelessness is a growing issue for the UK with more than 300,000 people living on the streets. Many of these people don't even make it onto the official figures.
The Unseen is an organisation we set up to give Homeless people a platform to have their stories and their struggles heard. We also want everyday people to have an opportunity to understand what leads a person into being Homeless. We at the The Unseen believe that everybody has a responsibility to help the unfortunate.
We want employers and regular people to support the homeless towards getting back into work and off the streets.
We hope their stories can touch the hearts of many.
Living on the street is no way to live.

Man, the stress of life can really weigh someone down. Smh. 35 looking like 60. I hope things get better for you. LIFE i tell you have its ups and down so no one should feel they are better than anyone. Homelessness can happen to anyone at any given time.

In this 21st Century that with all these houses being built that ordinary people will never be able to afford that the pubs, firestations, libraries and police stations in every district is not converted to help THE HOMELESS. They could gave a room with a LOCKER to keep their belongings and an address so they could get employment or get benefits. A kitchen with a cook to provide simple meals and sanitary wash stations and a laundry area do they can maintain their dignity. Don't the Councils think of asking family members of deceased residing at the homes if they had a place to go. They could offer them a smaller place like a bedsit and use the house for a larger family. The Housing People are v old and unsympathetic to homelessness but do not realise that it could happen to themselves or family members. Please, everyone. Just say hello to a homeless person as it can happen to anyone of us, we could suffer in the same way. WELCOME TO THE 21ST CENTURY OF LIFE'S FUTURE DIFFICULTIES? THANKS TO THE UNSEEN AND TO ALL GENEROUS DONERS WHO CARE?

Kicking a family member out when there grieving for a parent is the worst situation you can find yourself in .The government and housing should let them stay ,the policy of them being removed is cruel and wrong .It seems that’s the main cause of homelessness apart from drugs .jI hope he gets a roof over his head especially for winter .We don’t leave dogs on the street where is the compassion for people 😥

Shame on council. So many people homeless because of them 🤬🤬 they need nice pple on councils. Nothing to do with government. It's who u see n their choice to help u or not. If they like u n want to they will help u if not then they won't simple. It's so sad these poor pple on streets 😔😔😔

My pal was lucky he had a daughter so managed to keep his fathers council house when he passed… Disgusting thing is the government will spend billions housing illegal immigrants in hotels while the British are shit on from a great height! All politicians should pay for what they have done to OUR COUNTRY!

He was asked if he worked before he was homeless, and he said that he worked at the fun fair and lost that job due to covid, but that was in 2020, and he became homeless seven years ago. A lot of these homeless people don't seem to have jobs for a while before they were homeless. Is that due to bad luck or just didn't want to work. Not hating just wondering

Am 46 and look better than this gentleman. I feel sorry for people on the street but most on drink and drugs . They would sell there sleeping bag for a bita gear

DON'T JUDGE. SOMETIMES GEAR IS USED TO DULL THE ACHE AND DISSAPOINTMENT OF NOT BEING ABLE TO TURN YOU LIFE AROUND. DON'T SCOFF. AS IT IS AT THIS TIME OF COVID 19, LOCKDOWNS AND UNEMPLOYMENT OF MANY IT COULD TO YOURSELF OR KIN. MANY CAN'T DEAL WITH TRAGEDY WHICH AFFECTS THEM MENTALLY.
