It's 180 gallon, yes I'm looking at minimum of 265, but would prefer 300 plus within the next year.

Wow this was freaking awesomeness I love these monster cichlids dudes! 20-24 inches is something else man these are beast! I can imagine one of these jumping out and I'm scared to pick them up lol. I like the fact they don't bother each other. Great video and seems it's pretty standard needs I like.

peacock bass taste great. I live in Miami, fl. and they are all over the brackish water canels here. In the wild they aren't ambush predators they are "go getters", they see something they want and they go get it. Usually it's shinners, worms, or fish it can fit in its mouth. They aren't native to south Florida, they were imported in the 80's and are flourishing in brackish water. when I fish for them I use live fish or rubber worms. I never thought of them as cichlids great info.

3drhodes it’s amazing and insane how Florida’s Everglades have been taken over by evasive species.

Call video brother… Very helpful. Just got three myself and was curious on the quarantine process for them… If it differs from other fish. I put them in today, added a few teaspoons of salt and some Presley bro as preventative measures. Also I put the temperature up to about 80 to 82°. Is that good if so what else would you do in order to make sure they’re healthy and for how long before putting them in the community

Peacock bass are by far my favorite favorite. Ever since I was literally it’s been my dream to catch them as well as grow some. Finally after 10 years of fish keeping I caught a pair of 4” butterflies and I couldn’t be happier. I keep them with a tilapia and Mayan cichlid as well as 4 turtles so they eat all the same food (minnows)

Great video. I have two questions. Where would you recommend is a good place to buy peacock bass online? I currently own a 3 inch Ocellerris. You mentioned transitioning them to pellets at 5 or 6 inches. Could you please recommend specifically how to do that. Thanks.

Mike Holba I've never bought online, but I know jeff rapps has a great reputation. Tangledupincichlids.com is his website. If your lucky the bass will except pellets once they reach that size, most of the time they will need to be starved. Eventually, sometimes up to 2 weeks they will take pellets.
