When you're in this kind of situations, and you get the adrenaline, you wont even feel the pain you'll just try until you succeed, and it can result in torn muscles and probably even broken bones (im not sure about bones). That's when someone uses their full strength.

I've lifted a corner of a minivan once. I hope to never need to do it again. It was just one of those situations, I get the van out of the snowbank or we're stranded with no phone in the middle of a Northeastern winter. Do or die and I set my feet grit my teeth prayed to God and did it. My back was modern art for the next month but that's just the price you have to pay sometimes.

Trust me, Adrenaline is insane. There's a damn good reason why our brain limits the amount of strength our muscles can put out under normal circumstances, because our muscles are so strong that when we can use 100% of our strength, our muscles can actually break our own bones. During an adrenaline rush, our physical capabilities become roughly 5 times stronger than normal. It's for that exact reason why you never want to get into a fight with someone experiencing an adrenaline rush, they could very easily kill you even with just their bare hands. I remember another story where a woman and her 15-year-old son were at a gas station trying to fill up on gas when a man came up to them and tried to rob them, so her son managed to grab a tire iron from their trunk and whack the guy in the head with it....and when *that* didn't stop him, the kid *lifted the grown man* over his shoulder, flipped him upside-down, and then slammed him head-first into the ground.

I was told it's an emergency survival chemical that is released when your body is in an extremely stressed state and if you use it too much it's bad for your heart.

Years ago, an ex girlfriends parents were involved in a crash which left the car on fire and the drivers side front pushed in so far that it trapped her father. Her mother who was only a small woman tore the dash apart and managed to pull him out before the fire took proper hold. He suffered two broken legs and burns to his feet. Adrenaline is amazing and can turn a human into a beast.

The car was on fire too so im reckoning adrenaline played a big part in her actions. Either way, she got him out alive which was, I think, incredible considering the circumstances.
