Mr Maynard, it’s so nice to see you representing again, and as always you are an inspiration. Your video and your photos have exactly the same colour and hue as J. M. W. Turner’s landscape paintings, don’t forget Turner dominated British landscape painting in a that very same Romantic style driven by the immediacy of personal experience, emotion, and his boundless power of imagination. I see that coming through with these photos.
Hi, Robbie. Very nice video of a beautiful area. The colors are amazing there and they also come back in your photos. You are absolutely right about the human footprint. We humans leave it everywhere we go in every area where we are. Sometimes I think, do people have no decency or do they see it as normal. This will certainly not change no matter how much we want it to. What a difference from the peace in nature to a junkyard with car wrecks. Another beautiful video, Robbie. Until the next opportunity, friend. Antoine.
@RobbieMaynardCreates I'm sure you have met plenty of Irish up there in MA! I myself have a GSW690. It took me almost 10 months to finally hit 'shoot' button yesterday, I'm ashamed to say. Because I've loved the look and feel of this camera since I bought it from Japan. You have a gift for finding quiet and isolated places to photograph up there. I can never seem to find that here in Florida with 23m people. But I'm working on it.
@@irishmaninflorida1608 Its a great camera, the more you shoot with it the more you like it. There some real wild places in Florida that could be a great subject. The Everglades alone is stunning.
@RobbieMaynardCreates Absolutely. We have plenty of state parks. As well as national. Certainly a lot to work with. What camera do you work with for b roll?
Really nicely done - this is inspiring me to ask a boatyard owner if I can come in to photograph some of the historic old hulls he has in his yard. Your videos are sublime and inspirational. Thanks again.
Real good video. I’m from Vermont and I often struggle to capture how beautiful the simple scenes are to translate that into photo. While your photos were really nice, it strikes me now that maybe coupled with beautiful music and a calm voice, the photos become stronger.
As always your videos are elegiac, thoughtful and meditative. I love the way you get on with making your work without great fanfare, capturing the subtle details, the seasonal cycles of overlooked places. You are building such an intimate connection to these places. I feel anyone making work about the land should see your process, to see it’s not about getting the image & buggering off. It is about exploring & deepening a relationship with place. Top work Mr Maynard. 👍
I adore the concept of breadcrumbs dropped for the observant, and in that vein, particularly given the adult beverages I've consumed while out and about tonight, here's ❤for your painted fingernail.
Forever and some I’ve been wondering what you film your videos with, I think they’re fantastic, and you have a look to them that’s just perfect imho. Do you use the Log profiles or one of the film sims?
@@RobbieMaynardCreates Tidy, I'll go look. I'm not sure if you do requests, but aaaages back you shared another image on YT that I loved. I've thought of it a fair few times since. I've titled it (your welcome) 'The transcendental cow' - it's of a cow stood atop a small hump in a field on a beautiful foggy morning, it looks (to me) like she's contemplating the meaning of life. Which as we all know is fresh grass, buttercups, plump oats, back scratching and a decent lay down. Would love to see that one again some time/place :)
@@andrewgifford7740 I appreciate the call back! I was just looking at that image a few days ago. If you interested in a print you can email me at robbiemaynardcreates@yahoo.com
@@RobbieMaynardCreates Good shout and thanks for the idea, but, alas, I'm unemployed due to long term poor health, so I'm mega broke. It really is a corker, so I hope it proves popular :) Sorry I can't support you more at this time :(
